“I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming. We will go back. Great place!“

The taco crust is crispy, the meat is juicy, and the guacamole and salsa are layered perfectly. “Not sure what has taken me so long to try this place (other than the fact it’s not convenient from the Valley). I love that the burritos are not filled with mostly rice and beans (like another popular drive through Mexican restaurant). Their refried beans are a little different than what I have had. Do they cook them in bacon grease? I don’t know! What I do know is this place deserves more visits! Prices are reasonable, portion sizes are large, and when you order a meat in your burrito…you get the meat and not rice wrapped in a tortilla!“

“Taco Time is iconic! We've been eating the crispy pinto burrito for 30 years. I always stop in when in town because Texas doesn't have one. The customer service people were friendly and the dining area was clean. It's a fun place to go with fun memories.“
