“Palenque Mexican Restaurant has the best Mexican food we’ve had in…we can’t even remember. Fast, top notch, friendly service from our server Gerardo. The chips and spicy salsa was fantastic. Hot and crispy chips and the salsa had a get kick with an awesome undertone of fresh lime. We came at happy hour and enjoyed house margaritas that were not skimpy on the alcohol. We had the pork carnitas, which were crispy, juicy and fell apart perfectly. It came with guacamole, so good, with red and green salsas that we were so glad that they came in to go cups. Well seasoned rice and beans. Mouth watering with every bite. Our other dish was the carne asada street tacos, which were massive, and the meat was so tender. Both plates were loaded with food. We could not highly recommend a better place than here. Run, don’t walk!“

“This place has become one of my most sacred, favorite, number one places to eat in Spokane Valley. This is my 2nd review of this awesome place. When you eat here, your body becomes so satisfied with the flavor journey, that it finds PEACE. Do not bring yourself to over-eat. The leftovers are just as delicious as the original meal. “I always see a lot of people here, so we finally tried it. It was easy to read the menu and to order. Theres seats to sit at and wait for your order or to eat there. It didn't take long at all to receive my order. We ordered Asada nachos, Quesadilla, Enchalida plate, 4 different tacos, rice and beans, and Sopapillas. Everything was yum! The nachos were loaded with toppings even after we left some items off. The quesadilla had lots of cheese and meat and a nice crisp. The enchalia plate was big and the sauce tasted great. All the tacos had a great flavor and I'm glad I had one of each to try. The rice and beans was really good too better then other Mexican places I tried. The sopapillas were good and a nice ending to a great meal! Everything had a good flavor and I'd go again. The prices were decent too!“

“One my family's favorite places to have dinner. The food is wonderful and the portions are hearty, the prices are great. We have been coming here for over 20 years, and always well taken care of. We love the owners, they are kind people who care and enjoy the customers. I espically love the beans, rice, snd the salsa! my personal favorite.“

“This was my first visit to La Cabana. I'm sure I've driven by many times, but just never stopped in. I came with friends on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The staff was attentive and friendly. The seating was booth style and the atmosphere was casual.They served us complimentary chips and salsa which came with two salsa options. One was said to be spicy which I didn't try, and the other was mild. I ordered the Shrimp A La Creme which came mixed with pasta. That is different than I've had elsewhere and I liked it. The flavors were very good, and it reminded me a bit of shrimp alfredo at an Italian restaurant. The tortillas, were warm and fluffy. They gave me several and I was only able to eat a couple with my meal because I was already stuffed. I will definitely be back again when I'm in the area.“

“I found this place to be a great choice for a sit-down meal. The food was good, but the people and atmosphere were phenomenal. There were a series of pictures with the owners grandfather in them telling a bit of their families' story that I found irresistible!“

“Best place in spokane to grab authentic mexican food, and groceries, and snacks. Their house made tortillas, chips, and salsa are some of the best I've had. Including a special jalapeno tortilla that the bomb! The restaurant is very well priced and well worth the money.“

“The food was terrific but our waiter wasn't. Served our food and never came back. We had to flag him down to order a 2nd drink and also to get our tab. Not once did he smile. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. We will definitely be back but will make sure not to sit in his section.“

“Depends what you're looking for, but this is like a "Cheers' just a little on the trashy side. Depends what you're after. Lighting sucks, but it you like cheap liquor and lottery tickets, why Heck, this is your place! Service is good, karaoke nights are fun... some good local talent. People are friendly, which is great. “Is not average , this place is so far above average , I have been in more Mexican restaurants than I could ever remember but I will never forget this place , I have been a truck driver for my entire life and I’m 60 , Mexican is my favorite, this place is a true gem , try it … it’s amazing ? ..Rubin was my waiter and he was amazing too especially if he was the one making my margarita’s .. Margaritas are very good ?“
