“Cuccina offers high-quality pizza at a reasonable price. Salads can be hit or miss. You should call in your order ahead of time. They don’t always adhere to their hours, so, if they aren’t answering, then you should make alternative plans. You can’t dine in either. Take out only. Those are the breaks in rural America!”

“We are locals and we were treated very well. The lunch menu is limited and we ordered the pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza was dry and not interesting. The salad was good. Service was good, but our server was not communicating well with the chef. First we were told pizza was not available, then order the chicken sandwich. Then suddenly the pizza became available. We usually think of the Fireside for an evening meal, and we will return.”

“Jupiter Coffee has outdone itself. Again. They’ve “trialed” two new scone flavors—Egg Nog and German Chocolate Cake—and if there’s any justice in this world, they’ll never come off the menu. These scones are what happens when breakfast and dessert sneak off for a weekend in the mountains and come back glowing. Flaky, rich, and just this side of scandalous, they’re basically a warm hug (but with better boundaries). The Egg Nog one tastes like Santa after three bourbons. The German Chocolate? Like your grandma’s cake went to therapy and found herself. Exactly what you need to ease into cooler temps: one part cozy, one part chaos, all parts delicious. 10/10. Would risk crumbs in the car again.”

It’s no-frills, nothing fancy and was an experience I won’t soon forget. It has indoor and outdoor seating, a pool table and a bar cat named Willie (he was outside sunning himself when we arrived). “We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here and the service was excellent! Drinks and appetizers in the garden and dinner inside. It was a wonderful event and everyone had a great time. Many said they would return at some time for dinner. We planned this out of state and Lynn answered all of are questions quickly. We could not have had this type of personalized service in a typical restaurant.”
