We had a very nice wine tasting in the barrel room. The room does not actually have any barrels but it is tastefully decorated and quiet. There is a lot of the history of wines and a book room. The Readers Chardonnay, Cab and the Signature conflict were the highlights. The server was talkative and friendly. It took about 2 hrs for the entire tasting since we tried all 3 flights. Went today with 2 friends, Stephanie & June. We had excellent food, Riesling was also good. Steph had a Southwest chicken salad, June had a hearty soup & a tasty bread & I had the sirloin steak with Tomato soup & Caesar Salad. It was all excellently cooked, plated beautifully. June & I shared a popcorn topped cheesecake which was divine. A single waitress covered 3 sections & served us in a timely manner!
