Everything about this coffee shop is a joy. The staff, and especially Ghazal, are rays of sunshine in Seattle’s cloudy weather. The drinks, the old school ambiance, the window display to the roastery, the drive thru, and especially the great drinks contribute to this being one of my favorite cafes in Seattle.
While at the Fishermen's Terminal to purchase fish, my friend had a coffee craving, leading us to this spot. Opting for the drive-thru, we didn't enter the establishment. It's tucked away, requiring a keen eye to spot. Parking was quite limited, and it seemed they were short-staffed with only one person working, resulting in slow service. The coffee was good and the service was fast! However I was disappointed to witness an employee dumping a mop bucket into the storm drain out back. Storm drains aren't filtered and doing this contributes the the pollution in the waters directly across the street from their patio. I realize there may be more to the story but just want to make sure you know customers notice and care about these things!
