Chinook's At Salmon Bay Reviews
My cousin and her husband brought us here for lunch. The clam chowder was raved about as were the haddock and chips and tempera prawns!
Seattle’s own “Real Fisherman’s Wharf.” Good service, great food, not fussy or pretentious. The price is reasonable and the quality is consistent. When I have guests in town, Chinook’s is always on the list of places to go. In a single word “Seattle.”

Chinook's At Salmon Bay is a popular spot for fresh seafood in Ballard's Fisherman's Terminal. The restaurant serves deliciously prepared dishes, including the renowned Best Dungeness Crab Cakes in Seattle, made with all crab and no fillers. The generous happy hour specials, such as the $15 1/2 crab special, are a highlight. The bar area offers great service, professional staff, and a satisfying menu for an often-neglected dining time. Wheelchair accessibility and ample parking are also a plus.
The restaurant features a welcoming atmosphere, with customers praising the good service and tasty food. However, some have expressed disappointment when certain dishes, such as the "New Orleans Style" shrimp, did not live up to their expectations. The restaurant is encouraged to ensure the authenticity of its menu items, especially those claiming to be from a specific regional cuisine.
Overall, Chinook's At Salmon Bay remains a popular destination for fresh seafood and a pleasant dining experience, with the added bonus of being located near the Fisherman's Terminal, where customers can enjoy the sights and sounds of the fishing vessels.
