Iceberg lettuce on a banh mi? Also. $9? It was good, hard times for the restaurant biz for sure. But man, I miss the days when you could get a really good sandwich for less than $5.
I am only going to talk about the beef broth as that is the foundation of a good bowl of pho. The broth is very flavorful but a little too sweet. I think it would be lovely with charred onions and ginger. That might provide more depth to the broth. My husband had a vermicelli dish and LOVED it. I will come back.
