I enjoy taking visitors to Smith Tower for several reasons. They have an museum experience where you get to learn about the history behind the building and downtown Seattle. They even have an old timey telephone you can use. An elevator car takes you up to the 360 observatory where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sound. Make sure to have enough time to take a full tour of the history of Smith Tower—there’s more to this experience than only food and beverages. It’s $20/person just for entry to the facility so good to plan that into one’s budget. I like how characters related to the history of the tower are developed on the walk from the first floor to the second where the gorgeous elevators are located. 360 degree panoramic views including amazing views of Mt Rainer!
