We were having to fill a 3-4 hour gap in our day, so we decided to go to McMenamins Elk Temple in Tacoma. 6 bars! All with the old world atmosphere. Very enjoyable. We had drinks, but no food. Looks like a great Happy Hour menu. We were able to walk around with our drinks to look into the different bars and visit the gift shop. If you're looking for nostalgia, that's a place to go.
Such a cool vibe to hangout in with friends.
Great service and fun drinks! Food was also very good!

The menu maintains its Pacific influence with casual bar-style fare such as fried items, burgers, and dishes like crab Mac& Cheese and the Jr's Jumbo Deluxe burger with cajun tots, which are highly recommended. The crab & shrimp roll, served with cajun tots, is also well-liked, and the Grit City Shrimp remains a favorite among regulars. Drinks such as the popular Zombie and the fun alternative RC cola add to the experience. For dessert, the Apple pecan cake and Brownie sundae are delicious finales. Visitors often remark on the fun atmosphere and good food, with prices averaging around $36 per person for food and one cocktail.
