“Quality of food has improved but there is significant price hikeVegetarian options: Not good for veg options as meat dishes are their signature itemParking: Ample spot but some are bit tight.Kid-friendliness: Not enough space for kids but they can enjoy a meal if that's the only intention.“
“Just go here!My first time ever having Somali food. Everyone was so nice and I LOVED the Kati Kati with chicken Suqaar. They serve it with this green sauce on the side that was the perfect complement to the dish. You get an enormous amount of food for the price. They have a nice big parking lot so if you have mobility issues you won't have to walk far.“
“The name of the place has changed so is ownership. Used to be Salama. Now it is Aaran. There is big improvement.Great Somali food.Somali restaurant standards, and traditionGood friendly owner.Large portionsReasonable prices.Parking is still that little tiny parking“
“There's a reason Zanzibar was historically one of the spice islands: this food is unusually tasty, with flavors you won't find elsewhere outside of East Africa. Surprisingly authentic, cooked to perfection. Try the $28 Samaki Wa Kupaka (Baked Tilapia with Coconut Sauce), cooked the traditional way with bones to preserve flavor. Also the $15 Chakula Cha, a flavorful soft cabbage with just the right amount of spice.A real treat if you're looking for a taste of East African cuisine“
“Disclaimer: I'm completely new to Somali cuisine. My friend and I tried both the goat with soor and the chicken katakata. Both tasted great and were great "first timer" dishes, IMO. This place does seem to keep busy (we dined-in there on a Friday night; the katakata came out way ahead of the goat), but my friend and I weren't pressed for time and the staff was very nice.“
“We pulled up around 1am to get food and let me tell you ... Mama Sambusa did not disappoint!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the lovey lady cooking to us was very kind. If I lived in WA I would be a regular. I highly recommend trying all the Sambusa options! Chicken Sambusa was my favorite as well as the chicken tacos!!!“
“Absolutely loved the service and the food. This is a block away from the Best Western and was a fantastic option for Lunch and Dinner.I had the Samosa and the Chicken Wrap. Sadly, they have toned down the spice on some dishes because local pallettes are not used to spice. However, I was able to request the authentic/standard level of spice for the Chicken Wrap. It was fantastic. Paired well with the green hot sauce.I also had the Samosa and my Uncle thoroughly enjoyed. He said it changed his life and he has to find places to eat them in the future.“
“This restaurant is so fun. We got the Samaki Kaanga and Mbuzi Choma, both were delicious! The restaurant is split into a bar/club area and a dining area. If you end up sitting in the dining area a little later in the evening you will hear the music from the club.“
“Really yummy food. We had the goat dish and the lamb shank dish and the malawah. Took pictures after we had already divvied some of it up. Great portion size. I absolutely loved the clear soup at the beginning and the goat. My husband loved the lamb shank more.“
“This is the most humbling place you could ever eat in the food is extremely delicious and satisfying to the soul the taste is amazing the Atmosphere is amazing I Give praise to the young man who told me where to eat I met at the Airport in Seattle to the owner and your family much blessings from Jah Rastafaria mother of LoveVegetarian options: From the yams to the greens to the little beans everything was good delicious“
“Some of the best food I've ever eaten! This was our first time trying Kenyan food and it was AMAZING! The curried goat and tilapia were our favorites, but every dish we had was full of flavor! It took a while for the food to come out, but it was well worth the wait!! Everything was fresh and delicious! The ladies cooking and serving were also friendly and welcoming. We will DEFINITELY be making this a regular dinner spot!Parking: Plenty of spots available at 5pm on Saturday.“
“The breakfast taste pretty good. Nice pancake. Makes you want to eat more. The side dish is pretty nice. Lamb with bomb also pretty nice. Fried chicken taste pretty interesting as well. Not bad for one that isn't freshed fried. Enjoyed the meal in this small restaurant. Have to come back for some other dishes.“
“Delicious Somali Takeout in Tukwila. I recently tried takeout, and it was amazing. The place has no seating, but the food more than makes up for it. I ordered goat meat with spaghetti and barbecue chicken with rice. The goat meat was tender and flavorful, a perfect match with the spiced spaghetti. The barbecue chicken was juicy and delicious, paired well with the aromatic rice. The portions were generous and the price reasonable. Even as takeout, the quality and taste were outstanding. It’s a must-try for anyone in Tukwila looking for great Somali cuisine.“
