“Honestly the food is amazing! I have had it a few times and each time it has always been great! I have different sides each time. This place is a little out of my way to get to but when it comes to food quality it never disappoints!Vegetarian options: You can order a plate with only vegetarian sides..“
“Just go here!My first time ever having Somali food. Everyone was so nice and I LOVED the Kati Kati with chicken Suqaar. They serve it with this green sauce on the side that was the perfect complement to the dish. You get an enormous amount of food for the price. They have a nice big parking lot so if you have mobility issues you won't have to walk far.“
“Vegan options are delicious, flavorful, healthy, high protein. Get the vegetarian combination plate. We went in late at night while it's more of a local hangout at the bar with loud music. Friendly, helpful people. Served very quickly. Clean. Outside does not look inviting, but go on in!Vegetarian options: Usually all vegetarian labeled options are also vegan. There is a section on the menu. I like the combo plate with 5-6 items.Parking: Lot next to buildingWheelchair accessibility: Seemed to be, might be one step. Wide door, easy inside. Not sure about restroom“
“I must say that the cuisine served here is simply delectable - without a doubt, it is the most delicious food you can find in all of Seattle. And besides the amazing food, I had the pleasure of conversing with Joe, the manager, who was not only great to talk to but also incredibly approachable.Vegetarian options: I must say that the cuisine served here is simply delectable - without a doubt, it is the most delicious food you can find in all of Seattle.Parking: straight parkingKid-friendliness: Nice, small cozy placeWheelchair accessibility: Street level“
“A favorite spot to stop at when biking around Lake Washington. Not just great Ethiopian coffee, but friendly and love Winnie's home made Sambusas. Generally not crowded. Some soft jazz playing in background. Easy to hold a conversation. Definitely not a mega chain. It's just Winnie's and she's usually behind the counter ...“
“This place is a hidden gem. From the outside you would never know, but inside they will make you feel like family. Maza, the chef, will come and sit with you and make you the best coffee in town... strong, gingery, and full of love. Then the food is just amazing. The meat and veggie combo is 30 dollars and it will fill two hungry men easily. We ,love to get a bite before movies at the Beacon Theatre.“
“Quality Ethiopian food, I can’t forget the amazing smell and taste of their lamb tibs. I had the veggie combo and tea along with them and all of the food and drinks were top notch. The owner is also really nice and has stunning customer service!“
“GET. THE. PLATTER. Lots of food, great value, perfect way to try everything out.I brought my father here who had never tried Ethiopian, and he really enjoyed it. Great place to bring folks new to the cuisine! We ordered the special combo platter (meats & vegs both) and could not have been happier! We're both big eaters, and we couldn't even come close to finishing everything.“
“Came here for the first time today with my sister and cousins and, as a habesha, I enjoyed the food! We got lamb tibs, quanta firfir, shiro, and veggie combo. I love quanta and have had rly bad experiences with quanta in Seattle restaurants but the quanta here is legit! Prices are fair, menu has everything, and the restaurant is large enough so you still get a cozy vibe but you’re not touching the shoulder of your neighbor.I will say I wasn’t a big fan of the injera, something about the texture seemed a little off; and the firfir and salad (salata) was over-salted.Overall though, I would definitely recommend this spot for some good Ethiopian/eritrean food!“
“Ordered meat combo and full vege combo. Long time since I've had Ethiopian food. Nearly everything was spicy (which I enjoyed) so my kids were out of luck. They gave lots of the pancake wrap. Would probably come again but need to order non spicy stuff for the kids!“
“Beautiful experience that took me to bussington city. Chef’s kiss??beautiful customer service. Shoutout to a man named Beruk who showed excellent professionalism and outstanding generosity. Overall beautiful human and beautiful experience.“
“My go-to veggie combo in town! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly fermented, nutritious and delicious.Vegetarian options: Their veggie combo is amazing. Delicious + nutritious Injera bread with 6-8 types of vegetarian dishes on top of it, greens, veggies and protein (beans), all cooked and spiced to perfection.Parking: Street parking only but free, more in the neighborhoodKid-friendliness: My kid loved it here. Booth seating is very comfortable for families. They have many kid friendly food options but he always asks for more Injerae!“
“Delicious meal. Pleasant atmosphere. You can smell the spices as soon as you walk in. Reasonably priced. The other more flashy restaurants on this street were packed. No wait here. Maybe people weren't eating here due to it's modest exterior appearance? I'll be back--“
“My first experience with Ethiopian food. Loved it very much. I got the injera and lamb tibs, the amount of food was amazing for the cost- my friend and I realized too late we should have shared a dish. Very excited to finish my leftovers later and I’d like to come again!Wheelchair accessibility: Mobility aid accessible! Someone pulled the chairs out of the way for us too.“
“Best Ethiopian restaurant in Central District. If you’re looking for authentic food merged with the environment of a home cooked meal, this place is ideal. We were also positively surprised with the pricing. One combo meal is enough to feed two. Would highly recommend this place as it’s a staple to the community.“
“PLEASE try this place. It’s PHENOMENAL! The place is deceiving based on the location and ambiance, but they have some of the best food I’ve probably had in my life (and trust me, I’m a massive foodie ;)). I HIGHLY recommend the chicken and rice. It’s so rich in flavor and just melts in your mouth. I devoured my plate in 3 minutes, it was just THAT good.“
“An Ethiopian coffee shop with amazing coffee and nice decor. Went by this morning to grab a cuppa with friends, and it was lovely. The barista was so friendly and we even cracked jokes with him. I got Hazelnut Latte and it was good.Super nice coffee place in heart of Central District.“
“Walked into this place on a whim. Very unassuming, but plenty of seating and spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and the food was top notch. Generous portions at a fair price. You can tell the owners run this place with pride. If I lived nearby, I'd be eating here five times a week. You will leave stuffed and satisfied.“
“We had dinner tonight, and it was brilliant. The food was great, the service was very good, and for entertainment the waitress was roasting coffee beans over a braizier in the dining room. It would be nice if the room wasn't so smoky, maybe run a fan?“
“This was the most flavorful, euphoric plate of food I've ever had. The amount of food they give us is insane! Every bite was something new, and amazing taste. There was nothing we didn't like, it was so delicious and warm. Definitley will be coming back again and again.“
“Interesting place. Very good food. The doors were locked during the lunch time hour, but they had a big bright "open" sign. Knocked on the door a bit, they let us in, nobody was in there eating. Anyhow, we ordered some food and it was excellent. Shiro wot, kitfo, and some lamb dishes. Very flavorful. Very delicious. The restaurant is a bit unkempt and dirty, needs a renovation for sure, but still, the food tasted great and staff was very friendly. I would go back.“
“I never had injera before. It is a bit hot and sour. I liked the bread tortilla thingie. The staff was super helpful and showed me how to eat the dish. The music was a bit loud, and the place was dark, but very clean and comfy. I am glad to experience a new bit of culture. I recommend this place.“
“Quality of food has improved but there is significant price hikeVegetarian options: Not good for veg options as meat dishes are their signature itemParking: Ample spot but some are bit tight.Kid-friendliness: Not enough space for kids but they can enjoy a meal if that's the only intention.“
