“We loved our snowy winter visit! The service was great even though they were juggling a lot of customers, and we loved snuggling up under a blanket and doing our tasting while looking out over the snowy mountains. Delicious wines, beautiful cat, great vibes. Really appreciated the welcoming environment for queer people.“
“Savage Grace's wines are incredible and different from what most wineries are doing in the Pacific Northwest. Michael's low-intervention techniques make for very approachable, unique wines. The ones that are on the juicier side are SOOOO easy to drink, which could potentially be a dangerous things. The wines range from juicy and smooth to peppery, earthy, and complex so a side-by-side tasting at one of the tasting rooms is a really cool experience. These are wines with huge personalities.“
“We stopped at this vineyard on a tour from Portland to mt.hood and it was easily one of our favorites! Their lunch options were so good… charcuterie boards and different sandwiches. They had great views and alpacas in the field in the back! They accomadated our larger tour group so we could all sit together and chat which o thought was a very nice touch rather than us spreading out in our smaller groups.“
“Mellow vibes and good wine. We ended up taking home two bottles. The small charcuterie plate was a great pairing with the wine. Staff was very knowledgeable of the wines, vineyards, and area. We were also lucky enough to enjoy live music on a Thursday afternoon.“
“Whether just visiting Hood River or are a local you must come here! Very friendly service, the cider is very good! The food truck has amazing food! Taco Mondays are my favorite! Their tacos and everything Jack makes is so delicious! I love that you can also bring our doggies. Such a fun and relaxing place. I highly recommend them!Vegetarian options: On taco Mondays they have the best veggie tacos I have ever had!! So good!!Parking: There is plenty of parking and it’s free to park!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. You can pick fruit with them or pick beautiful flowers.“
“We love LDT. Sometimes we go for tastings if we are with friends that haven’t been before, if it’s just us we have a few glasses of our favorites. Love the vibe of the place and have always had warm, friendly service. Definitely give them a try if you are in White Salmon.“
“The wine is stunning and really diverse. But, more so Bailey is literally the best server we’ve had on our trip. Chill and attentive, knowledgeable about the wines and you can tell has a passion for the wines and making people have the best time. If you’re in town definitely worth it. We walked past and on a whim decided to go in and I’m so glad we did. Well done Cascade Cliffs.“
“Upsidedown wines are incredibly pleasing to the palate. You can taste the hard work and passion that goes into the farming and production of their wine. I highly recommend this Tasting Room. In addition, the team is friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll be back!“
“We've been wine club members for years, and though we no longer live in Hood River, we still keep our membership because the wine is delicious and includes some of our favorite Italian varietals. Great for a tasting and limited charcuterie.“
“Cathedral Ridge Winery offers not only exceptional wine but also an unforgettable experience, thanks to the warm hospitality of Susie. Her artistic touch adorns the winery, as she personally paints all the art, creating a unique atmosphere. I even have one of her paintings in my home. What truly sets Susie apart is her genuine kindness and attention to detail; she remembers personal details about guests, like our friend Kayla who was crocheting, and went out of her way to provide her with yarn upon our next visit. Susie's warmth extends beyond her artistry; her deep knowledge of wine enhances the tasting experience, making every visit to Cathedral Ridge Winery truly special.“
“Visited this winery during the 4'th of July holiday weekend. It's a bit out of the way so not as crowded as others. Bernard, the owner, was on hand to manage the tastings. A few years ago tragedy struck that burned down the main warehouse and tasting room. Everything was lost except for wines that happened to be stored offsite in cold storage. Since then everything has been rebuilt and the winery is now open for business. The wine available for tasting and sale are older stored vintages (2016) as winemaking was interrupted during rebuilding, but I think this is an advantage to be able to get aged wine as a good price. Overall the winery is worth a visit. The wines are tasty and priced a bit less than the more popular wineries.“
“Great selection of wines, absolutely beautiful interior and view of the river. My only disappointment was the Frozé. Tasted like a cheap slushy rather than an actual frozen Rosé drink that cost 16$. The packaging was great tho! Super cool idea.“
“Valo is a gem, we enjoyed a flight of reds and whites and loved every single taste! The space is relaxed and inviting. It’s conveniently located right on highway 14 in Bingen but not far from Hood River and White Salmon. Michael is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. It’s definitely worth a stop and don’t forget to check out the Massalto wines too!“
“My boyfriend and I came out to South Hill to try some tastings and we were very pleased! We’ve had several winery experiences and this one was our favorite by far! You cannot beat these views, so I would definitely recommend sitting outside. Such a lovely establishment!“
