“LOVE SHORBA! I always get the chicken saj, it’s giant and delicious. The owner Omar is the nicest person in the world! He often gives me a cup of free homemade fruit juice to try, or some bits of meat for my dog if he’s with me. Perfect place to grab a bite after hitting the Montavilla bars.“

“First-timers today. We ordered the Big Lamb Gyro, dolmas and french fries, and are very happy to recommend this place. Portions were large and the food was extremely fresh, but the thing that impressed me and raises Omar’s versions above other similar places was his seasoning. Subtle, not overpowering, but distinctive. Dolmas touched with just enough lemon, gyros well-balanced with tzatziki, hot sauce and some other flavors I couldn’t quite identify, subtle flavoring of the lamb. I was prepared for a pretty standard, ho-hum gyro, but this was much more. Worth a return trip.“

“This is such a fun place! the owner and staff made my daughter and I feel very welcome, including her Med alert dog. Their food was tasty and the Bellydancing show was great fun and very entertaining. The place was packed but yet they managed to serve everyone with a big smile. Thank you Aladdin's Cafe. “Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“Great service, lovely welcome as we entered. Cozy, comfy and chill vibes. Food was served quickly, fresh and hot. Fish and chips were so good, crispy and not oily. Sauces are so delicious 😋 warm mezza platter was perfect for us. Cheesecake was my favorite and karak was perfect 👌 must visit when your in Portland. Fun board and card games to play.“

“Is this place still open? Hours seem to be inconsistent. I don't live nearby anymore so I go by when I'm in the area, but have not caught it open in months despite being there during posted business hours. It's so good, I miss it“

“Always looking for healthy restaurants and this one was great! Had the vegetarian Thai bowl with brown rice and tofu. Washed it down with a non alcoholic Heck beer.

Everything was lovely, portion size was perfect, cost was fair, service was top notch. Most definitely will be back.“

“I came here with my friend last night and it was bomb. I had the chicken shawarma and it was heavenly, and a huge amount of food. Certainly get what you pay for. I definitely recommend this place and plan on going back to try the Portland burrito and some of the appetizers!“

“We pick up take out from here at least once a month. It is always fast and good quality with a large serving sizes. Their chicken shawarma and lamb gyros are my favorites among all the other gyro restaurants in the area. Staff was helpful for dietary restrictions. They have Arabic and Greek style pita bread, which both are good. It is in a strip mall so not much atmosphere but the food makes up for it. My kids really like the chicken shawarma and it is so easy for a quick dinner.“
