“My brother and I went to the Cove last night and they got it right. Everything was excellent! I had the ahi tuna and my brother the scallops. Not a nite left. Even shared a dessert of butter cake ! Our server was awesome“

“Visiting friends in Portland, they took us here for Breakfast. Loved the ambiance. After a 30-minute wait (we didn't have a reservation), we were finally seated and waited... and waited... and waited, eventually receiving our order after another 45 minutes. Two of three orders were wrong - I had ordered "The standard" - described as "the standard two eggs* with a choice of bacon or Zenner's sausage served with home fries or field greens and choice of toast". Got it with roasted potatoes. The waiter insisted that's how they would always come - but then served extra fries - and, to make up for the wait, comped us with some of the jummy sweet balls they show in their icon image. I found this nice, but also the only appropriate thing to do to save them from a two-star review. Because the server, whom I found uncharmingly stressed at first, really woke up and sped up his game, I would take the experience and try it again when we visit our friends next time. The place itself is very nice, and the food was tasty - and would under other circumstances qualify for four stars or more (if you have read my other reviews, you may remember that I am rather particular with five stars).“

“Happened to be in Vancouver at dinner time, this place is a block off tge larger road, but eas y to find and easy to get back on the highway. Nice staff and clean, pleasant dining room. First Indian cuisine in 40 years, and very tasty. We got veggie Somosa, naan, and goat vindaloo. Very good, meat super tender and spices in every thing well balanced. Recommend stopping by for dinner.“

“Holy crap their breakfast burrito is so fricken good! I got mine with steak and added pico. Considering most places charge $14-16 I was really surprised to see that they kept it just under $10 (was an additional 75 cents for the pico). I thought maybe it would be a bit smaller or maybe mostly fries, but nope. Mostly eggs and meat with a perfect amount of cheese and fries. Their hot salsa is also very good. If you are in the area (or driving down the highway like I was) this place is definitely worth a visit!“

“We had ordered take out from here previously and thought we would stop and dine in. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about our experience. They are so friendly and welcoming and our food was so good. We ordered the crab rangoon and the barbecue pork buns, the house special pan fried noodles and the general Tso's chicken. Their crab rangoon is the best we've had from the many restaurants we've tried in the area and everything we ordered was delicious. Our toddler also enjoyed the food (miracle!) and had fun trying the different dishes. We will definitely be back!“

“Food was great. Don’t judge the outside it looks sketchy like Five Nights At Freddy’s pizzeria but inside is cozy with large privacy booths. Would definitely eat here again. It’s huge inside and our poor server had quite a large section and a heck of a walk to and from the kitchen. But food came on par to steaks doneness as requested and everything else hot and fresh.atmosphere was rustic and place has probably never seen renovations in 40+ years but I like that especially for what it is and is still well put together and all necessary essentials on point.“

Literally what we have called this restaurant the entirety of my children's lives. I struggle to recall the true name often, despite having gone there for decades before they were born.

We love Billygan's...it's a reliable place to land, where we know the kids will be entertained, will typically eat what they are served, and the service is consistently amazing regardless of the crowd.

On occasion I'll pop in there between appointments with my laptop, and sip a drink while working in one of their cozy bar booths.

It's not much to write home about food wise, which is inconsistent at best, but I've also never left less than over full.

If you're after as reasonably priced steak and potato plate, or a pile of apps in lieu of dinner, or a giant 1000 calories salad, or fantastic fried chicken sando, just land here and be spoiled by the kids enjoying themselves at a restaurant for once.“
