“Is this place worth a trip to Vashon? Probably. Definitely if you live in North America already. This place masquerades as a super-low-key bottle shop connected to an ice cream parlor/arcade, but it's more than that. The beer and wine selections are masterfully curated, and while the staff seem like super laid back people who just want to make sure you're having a good time, asking a few questions about anything makes you realize that they're actually complete experts about everything there, and will happily teach you anything about anything they sell there if you ask about it. And don't get me started on the food. Anything you order will be delicious and underpriced.Bring your kids, shove them off into the arcade and enjoy a couple hours there. It is one of my favorite things now.Kid-friendliness: Unassuming atmosphere and there is an arcade/ice cream shop next door, my kid loves this place.“

“Pretty cool beer hall offering flights, pints, growlers, cans and bottles. Prices are reasonable and they have 48 beers, seltzer, wine, kombucha and ciders on tap. Plus several refrigerators of bottles and cans. I tried a couple flights before settling in on a pint I enjoyed. Parking was challenging, think I circled the bock 5 times... 2 casual restaurant options connected inside.“

“Where to begin; the food is phenomenal! This was my second time here, and my amazement just keeps growing. The first time I was here I was by myself and ordered the Bread &Oil, followed by Kalua Pork Mixed Plate. The second time (tonight) my wife and I had cocktails, the Cambodian Beef Skewers, the Chimichurri Steak Salad, the London Fog Crême Brûlée, with an assortment of outstanding cocktails and wine, and I’m sold! This is my place to go. Period.“

“We've always enjoyed coming here. I love the sparkling wines and have purchased some to take home. Desserts and charcuterie boards are also delicious! I think for more of a wine bar/chic vibe, I'd recommend some bar top tables set up, for a more relaxing atmosphere. The lower tables makes me feel like it's a sit-down dinner place. But overall, I'm a repeat customer especially when trying to just relax with a nice glass of bubbly in hand“

“I have been here four or five times now, it’s always a good experience overall. Great drinks, some amazing food and awesome desserts. It doesn’t get boisterously loud inside either which I really appreciate. Only took one star off because their food is sometimes not always the same level of excellence. There’s usually one or two items per meal at my table that someone just doesn’t care for. The risotto specifically has been very hit or miss, sometimes way too salty or with way too much cheese in it. But if you know the menu well there are some star items that are always good. The beef carpaccio is a long standing favorite, and I got the egg custard over peach sorbet for dessert last time I went and it was amazing, I almost licked the dish clean.“

“Seriously the best coffee spot in West Seattle. These guys make such great coffee, they inspired me to start getting serious about my at-home latte skills. They also have a carefully crafted selection of wine, vermouth, and sparkling. Sound and Fog is a diamond in the rough! #ShopLocal“

“Had an absolutely delightful meal with friends. Had never been before even though I’ve lived between West Seattle and Burien since 2009. Had a steak dinner, apps, bourbon and beer, and all was spot on, but the standout was the grilled vegetables on the salad menu. Divine. I would go back just for that.Vegetarian options: Had several options that would appeal to vegetarian preferences. The grilled vegetables salad is don’t-miss.“

“A lovely place with waterfront views in Gig Harbor. The four of us enjoyed a really good meal. The chowder was superlative, loaded with clams and fish in a tomato version of the classic. The butternut gnocchi were very different and quite delicious. Pasta in the cacio pepe was a bit overcooked but otherwise good. I thought the salmon cakes, while tasty, were a bit dry. Overall the food ranged from good to excellent. Service was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend.“
“I am absolutely in love with Princess and Bear Winery! As a member of their wine club, I have had the pleasure of working with their incredible wine concierge who is always so helpful and knowledgeable. The free wine tastings each month are a wonderful perk, and I am always excited to try the latest selections. The wines they select are like stepping into something French and fabulous, with rich and complex flavors that truly transport me to the vineyards of Bordeaux. I highly recommend Princess and Bear Winery to anyone who loves great wine and exceptional service. Thank you for making my wine journey so delightful!“

“Attentive service. The space we sat was heated and covered outdoors next to an old building. It was very loud.Food was quite good although we preferred the Tarajin at the original Altura better. The portions are quite small.Bathrooms were clean and the lighting was funny with a dark glow light vibe.“

“My car enthusiast teenage son and I were here last weekend and he is back again this weekend with his girlfriend and a bunch of their friends he absolutely loved this place. The food was good for American diner fare. Our server absolutely left something to be desired though. I don't know if the attitude was to go with the aesthetic of the location but she would literally drop stuff off at the table and not say a word. I had to flag her down and she seemed very disinterested as though she didn't want to be there. That was the only draw back to the day. The tour was absolutely wonderful and the tour guide was very engaging and very knowledgeable. Currently working on talking my boyfriend into a membership so he can park some of his cars in there!!!“

“We stopped by the restaurant on a weekday and decided to indulge in some pizza, bread, and stuffed mushrooms. Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, and we were informed of a wait. Concerned about our kids getting hungry, we were relieved when they offered us seating in "Nine Hats Wines," which happened to be empty at the time. We ended up enjoying our meal comfortably seated on the couch there.“

“This is the best coffee shop that I have found close to Seatac thus far. The espresso was excellent. They didn’t ask what size cappuccino I wanted (there’s only one size). They had excellent, gluten free pastries. Also fun, they carry boutique wines and meads!“
“Cascade Cliffs has such delicious wine, and this space is great! They have really fun events club members, great discounts and just a great overall experience! The tasting room manager, Kristen, is very knowledgeable and really hospitable! Definitely include this in your Georgetown outing, and join the wine club! You won't be disappointed!“

“On a day trip to Vashon Island we happened upon Caffe Vin Olio as we were looking for breakfast and coffee. What a lucky find! We confessed to being out-of-towners and were welcomed with smiles and helpful guidance as we placed our orders. The mocha and the hot chocolate were prepared quickly and were perfect as we waited at a rustic table. The chocolate croissant and veggie bagel appeared soon and were absolutely delicious! We loved this Vashon Island experience; thank you.“
