“My wife and I had dinner here. We shared an appetizer, which was the pita and hummus. It was delicious. I’d advise getting extra pita as the hummus bowl was big. I had the gyro platter, which is basically a gyro without a pita. It was very good! My wife ordered a bowl with a kabob. She was a little disappointed that it only came with one kabob. All the ingredients were very fresh.

“We / my husband and I were there from Rocklin, California at a reunion.. we got there very late. Most of the food was gone. It looked delicious.. however, we didn’t get to enjoy it!! That of course our fault! … but I happen to be very hungry… two of your waiters (gentlemen) asked me if there was something they could get for me! Of course I said, yes!! I asked for Iced Tea .. brought to me immediately and then the second gentleman asked if he could get something for me .. he brought me a small loaf of that delicious bread nicely warm and butter!! It was delicious!! I would like to commend those two gentlemen!! Your restaurant is phenomenal as well as elegant!!! Thank you!! This was the first time we’ve been back after they closed their buffet for awhile. No rice pudding, which was always a staple with the mango and empty hot food bins, sauce but no meat. They’ve also moved the buffet right in the way to walk into the restaurant, so when there is a line, you can’t get around for the restroom or you have to wait for people to move when you are being seated. I dunno, not a top 10 day there today in my book, however, we’ll still go. I appreciate that they finally reupholstered their booths.“

Add sauces and toppings. Then hand it to the cook and watch it be made. Great and fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Make sure to tip the cooks as well!“

“Great, authentic food, but man, every time I come here the prices go up. I came by a month ago and a quesadilla was $9.75, today it’s $12.50. A burger and fries was originally about $10, now it’s $11.40. The food is good but at the rate the prices are increasing and the lack of prices on the menu it’s becoming harder to justify coming here instead of using an app to order from a bigger place. “We’ve been eating here for years and have literally watched their daughter grow up — it’s truly a family-owned spot, and you can feel that. The daughter is always polite and already knows our order as soon as we walk in (hot & sour soup for me and my usual tea 😄). Portions are generous and the food quality is consistently great.

Now, full honesty — if you happen to get mom, she can be a little feisty and pushy with a side of attitude. We’ve learned she has good days and bad days and doesn’t always shine in the customer service department, so we just roll with it.

That said… the hot & sour soup is hands-down the best we’ve ever had, and this is easily the best Chinese food in the valley. There was even one time we walked out because things got extra spicy (and not in the food 😅), but the husband apologized, we laughed it off, and of course we came back. No regrets — the food is that good!“
