Use to absolutely Love this place. Brought a group of friends to enjoy what we always have. Got seated & noticed dog poop laying between the tables. As we heard the dogs barking upstairs. The waitress was horrified & picked it up. Not to mention soup was out plus bread & no croutons/cheese for salad. We were there on a very slow night. The bartender & waitress were great. SHAME on the cook/owners. We will not be coming back.
Ordered a dinner for two they were out of. Then ordered a different steak for my son. Sent it back the first time cause it was rare when he ordered medium and he could chew it. Sent the new one back as it was all fat and couldn’t chew. Ordered the prime rib and it was cold and had no flavor. Definitely not at all like I remember has change for the worst
Went here for the first time tonight. Waitress was terrible. Never checked on how things were. We had to track down a person to send my steak back. It’s a steakhouse that can’t cook steak!! I had to send it back twice. Mind you I ordered it medium well and it was practically mooing not once but twice. Third time I told them to take it off my bill. Cantafio's Buckhorn Supper Club offers a high end, good old fashion Supper Club experience. The entire family makes guests feel like they are eating at home, with charming, friendly, and hard working staff. The food is always good, with lots of options. Everything from the prawns, steak, roast duck, and tuna steak is delicious. The NY Strip is an absolute standout, cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The scallops are plump, perfectly fried, and dipped in butter. The garlic cheese curds are hot, lightly battered and not overly greasy. The ribeye is almost 2in thick, tender, full of flavor and juicy. The clam chowder and filet mignon are tender and well cooked. Dessert is also good. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a homey charm. The lovely owner gives roses. The ice cream after dinner drink is the absolute best. The meal was complimentary in honor of their son, and donations are accepted. Highly recommended for a relaxed yet indulgent meal near Beaver Dam.
