“In town for new year’s our boys snowboarding at cascade mountain wife and I were looking for things to do and kill time watched a movie in portage and found Neil’s. Fantastic experience the drinks were fantastic and his beyond charming daughter was the best bartender I have experienced in years. Cheers guys not to mention the awesome food”

“My husband loves chinese food, we dined in one night and it was delicious. It highly exceeded my expectations. I had the chicken lo mein, my husband had the curry beef, and we shared some crab Rangoon’s. The food was fresh, hot, and my favorite THE SAUCE. I noticed that the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t just this solid red color, you could see the garlic and the spices used to make it. I asked the waiter if the sauces were made in house and he said yes, just as I suspected. It doesn’t stop with the sweet and sour sauce but everything has such good flavor. They are a hidden gem right here in portage. In my opinion I’ve had Chinese from Madison, Baraboo, Lake Delton and this is my favorite place. Next I need to try their sushi.”

“Amazing Burger at this restaurant. I enjoyed every bite; the owners are so friendly and great people! They have merchandise from Mexico that are handmade and so cute, I bought a bracelet. Overall, if you are in the area I recommend it is a great place to eat!”

“This is a wonderful place to eat. I generally come here once a month, and they have a lot of breakfast items to choose from. My favorite is the Gyro Omelet. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are courteous and professional. The prices for food are decent and affordable. I really enjoy coming here and I highly recommend taking your family for good food and relax.”

“Excellent service, excellent food. Some of our group had prime rib ( some of the best I have ever had anywhere), some had steak, some had fish. All said food was top notch. Had cheese curds and spinach dip appetizer. Wonderful. Strong drinks…nice change, and a best ever grasshopper. I wish we lived closer. We would come often! Happened in when having our family Christmas weekend. Wonderful place. Worked with our celiac guest without issue. Highly recommend!!”

It was only because staff were not making it clear to me who would assist me at the register that I marked service with a 3. I wasn’t told that my food was still being prepped or anything. Just a simple “your food is still being made” please wait would’ve been nice.”

“I dined here for the first time last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately my memory failed me and the restaurant fell off my radar. Thankfully I thought about it again last night as I was meeting a couple friends for dinner. Once again we enjoyed a peaceful dinner on the deck at the bar height table offering a beautiful view of Jordan Lake. My sandwich was delicious and timely. The bartender, who was also the waitress, was very friendly and checked on us several times. I can't wait to introduce this place to others!”

“We went here on the recommendation of an old friend as we passed through the area. It's a small local dive that was nice to stop in for some lunch. We had a generous amount of fries and onion rings with our BLT and grilled cheese sandwiches. All of it hit the spot and was washed down with some refreshing adult beverages. The atmosphere was chill and the bartender friendly. The cook made all the food nice and hot! We'd stop again when we're in the area!”
