“Absolutely lived up to the hype. The property is gorgeous, the food and beverage quality was in line with expectations and the price point. But you just can't beat that view. We arrived at 430 and got on the wait list, which was about 2 hrs. We enjoyed the beach, walked a bit on one of the trails, and tried some of the signature cocktails. The Tipsy Canoe was perfect for the hot temps and the old fashioneds are expertly made. Love seeing the Old Fashioneds served counter at the front entrance. The escargot was well cooked, the bread was delicious, steak was barely over MR and still juicy and well seasoned, and the duck had a fun presentation! Only negative comment would be the cocktail service. We were at a table with 2 servers going around the area. Minimal awareness, trying to make eye contact and call someone over when I could, but after 40 minutes, we just went to the bar to grab our round.”

I ordered brisket platter 7 prices of brisket on a peice of bread. had to order a pizza as we were both hungry. never had that happen before. was definitely not worth the 58.48”

“Service today was by far the best service we have had in a long time from anywhere! These 2 went above and beyond to make sure we knew our options and understood them as we tried something new today. We sat in and ate because we needed to pick some things up at Walmart afterwards and their happy, friendly service continued throughout the steady stream of people they served!You never know how you may impact someone’s life, but I guarantee these two have made several people smile today! “I worked at a ponderosa local to us for years, and grew up going there. Unfortunately all the ones near our home have closed. We were so excited to visit this location and introduce our kids to ponderosa. The service was great from the minute we walked in the door. The food was great, and the server was not only attentive but so good with our kids. Is the facility in perfect modern condition? No. But you can tell they value cleanliness which is the important part when it comes to this. For families, especially families already tired and overwhelmed from vacation, this is a perfect stop. No waiting for food and something for every kid's preferences, plus plenty of good stuff for the adults too. Keep in mind that the buffet comes with any of the menu meals. I can't think of a single other place where you can get steak with unlimited salad, sides, and desserts in that price range. My sirloin tips and baked potato were delicious.”

“It was charging my car this morning, and the Starbucks was out front. I decided to go in and get something warm to sip on. The crew was so nice and the manager came out to speak to me a little bit. They’ve made it such a warm and friendly environment… Despite how busy they are.”

“While driving semi there are not too many places convenient to park. Parked facing Burger King and stepped inside Market Square Cheese to make a purchase. Unexpectedly a nice lady that worked at the Wisconsin Dells Burger King brings dinner across the 6 or so lanes of road the 2 parking lots to tell me "We know you guys are having a hard time getting a decent meal lately. “Just wanted to give a shout out to the drive thru staff from last night. We were visiting from out of town and placed a mobile order. The young man that was the drive-thru order taker/cashier was very polite and friendly. He had a great personality and greeted us with a smile. He had great manners and definitely a sense of humor. Also, our food was hot and fresh and ready when we pulled up to the window.”

“We ate here before the Chris Young show in the middle of that dang snowstorm. It was our first time! From the minute we walked in and were greeted by the host staff and welcomed by our server at the bar, we already felt like we were being treated like royalty. You feel so welcomed, immediately. After a cocktail, our hostess came and found us for our reservation and we were seated at a cute window seat, overlooking the Christmas lights. Our server, Alex, was OUTSTANDING. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed his company and his conversation. We were, again, treated like royalty. 1 billion out of 10 for all of the front of house staff...especially Alex. At this point, if the food was terrible I wouldn't have even cared. But. It. Wasn't. Calamari 10/10 (light batter and melts in your mouth), my Ceasar Salad 10/10 (the dressing was light and flavorful and I almost asked for a bowl of the croutons) I ordered a NY Strip medium rare, baked potato, mushrooms 10/10 (cooked and seasoned to perfection, at this point Ive eaten so much food I think I'm going to die, but I couldn't stop), my friend had the Queens Cut Prime Rib, baked potato, and asparagus 10/10 (again, cooked to perfection, super flavorful, and the asparagus was huge and delicious). Alex asks if we want dessert and I said I literally can't breathe. ...He came back with a chocolate mousse anyways...how he knew my weakness, I'll never know. So, go for the food and the staff. These folks are doing it so right. We can't wait to go back!!!!”

“My 6 year old and I ate at BJs before heading back home to Iowa. I'm not a huge hashbrown fan and theirs are TO DIE FOR! We also got eggs and pancakes which were amazing as well. The staff was so nice and kept our coffee and waters full. Highly highly recommend!”

We got there at 630pm in the off season on a Saturday night and we're surprised at how busy it was! We only had a 20 minute wait for a party of 5. “We moved away from Baraboo 11 years ago. We never forgot the Little Village Cafe. We were back again tonight and were blown away by the edamame dumplings. “All the reviews are correct! This place is off the hook! ! This place is great based on service- quality of food- quantity of food- and service. They just do a great job here all the way around. If you are with family and or friends, and say you came into town to take in the attractions like the circus, don’t run off… like seriously treat yourself to a great place. The food prices are very reasonable- the service is great- the staff is very professional and kind. If you ask for advice on what to order and they all know their menu… the pizza is amazing. The burgers are fantastic. The French dig is very good. If I were to recommend something I would say either the bone in or boneless wings, and I would recommend their french dip sandwich. The fries I believe are homemade? If they aren’t, I just know they are awesome.

The three-meat dinner option — beef tenderloin, chicken, and ham — along with the full salad bar, mashed potatoes, seasoned vegetables, potato salad, pasta salad, and warm dinner rolls was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were professional, attentive, and even took the time to introduce the menu and ensure that every guest was well taken care of.
