“Canape is located in a strip mall that isn't much to look at from the outside, but they make really good sandwitches, burgers and breakfasts. They also have a nice variety of ice cream desserts. It's a great place to get a quick meal either to eat there or take home.”

“We were staying in the Dells over the weekend for our daughter’s sports competition and we were looking for a good sports bar to grab lunch and watch some college hoops. We ended up at Triple Play Sports Bar & Grill and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Kid friendly, amazing food, reasonable prices, and overall excellent experience. Only 10 minutes from the resorts in the Dells. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area. 5 ⭐️”

“Great food. Servers are friendly and bring family friendly atmosphere to your table. Get an old fashioned at the bar while you wait. Once you are seated, we love the onion loaf with a side of ranch. Steak comes out sizzling (I recommend upgrading to the filet and getting shrimp scampi with the Italian potatoes). Finish off with a brandy alexander or grasshopper.”

“This little coffee shop in "downtown" Portage is so quaint. I walked in and was greeted by a super-friendly Barista that was eager to help. I ordered a black coffee, chai tea latte, and two muffins. EVERYTHING was delicious! The muffins were fresh, soft, and airy with the great uneven perfection of homemadeness. The coffee was a perfect medium roast that was mellow and smooth. The chai tea latte had a symphony of spices with the creamy richness of milk - spectacular. The shop itself was clean, bright, and felt so calming. You could sit and watch the passersby and cars go by while sipping perfection. This is a must stop shop for a rest while exploring downtown.”

“I dined here for the first time last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately my memory failed me and the restaurant fell off my radar. Thankfully I thought about it again last night as I was meeting a couple friends for dinner. Once again we enjoyed a peaceful dinner on the deck at the bar height table offering a beautiful view of Jordan Lake. My sandwich was delicious and timely. The bartender, who was also the waitress, was very friendly and checked on us several times. I can't wait to introduce this place to others!”

“Update; ate there this evening and things have slipped a bit. Ordered ribs and BROILED shrimp, hash browns. Where to start....food was not hot, only warm, broiled shrimp didn't happen, instead breaded fried shrimp, the ribs had a hard crust on the top and meat was stringy like pulled pork gets. Every thing tasted, just ok. Things here have slipped from previous experience. Changing my rating to a 3.5Would have given a 4.2 if that has Ben possible. The food was quite good with a fairly broad menu. Service was friendly and fast. Salad bar was a nice touch but the sliced eggs has seen much better days.Overall, a place I would return to when looking for reasonably good food at fair prices. Enjoyed my meal.”

“I stopped in for a bowl of chili and a burger. The bartender was new and working alone. She was very nice and talkative. The chili was kind of disappointing, maybe if it was served actually warm it would’ve been better. But maybe that big glob of sour cream cooled it off that much I don’t know. I ended up taking the burger home and split it with my dog. I kind of wish I ate the burger first. Even though the lady didn’t know what she was doing, I would go back to this bar just for a really relaxing place to chill and talk. The food was kind of pricey at $26 for a burger and chili and two drinks. So I’m probably going to not be going back there for lunch.”

“A surprisingly friendly local watering hole. Things have been going pretty rough for me lately. I was in Portage on sorta a whim, placing myself in the care of close friends and family to help deal with a few things. I ended up going bar hopping with my best friend and a bud from high school that I haven't seen for awhile. We're about as different, the three of us, as people can be in terms of personality and I think it's fair to say we all had a pretty decent time. Drink options are pretty standard. Nothing to write home about there. I was a bit hesitant to stop in here at first because the crowd seemed a bit on the older side. Some folks closer to our age filtered in as we drank our drinks. The crowd was pretty friendly and struck up some great conversation about football and folks we all knew from around town. (Full disclosure: We found out halfway through our drink that the bartender was the mother of someone we went to high school with and we ended up sharing a lot of laughs relating to that. He wasn't a close friend or anything, but it's worth mentioning.)”
