“I want to begin by saying that we love this place. BUT, the service and food were just horrible. My husband's wings were good but my nachos were terrible. The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

“I'm telling you. Their Biscuits and gravy are by far my favorite from Busy Bee. I've tried so many other places in and around mchenry, and some are fine. But I love how Creamy and almost buttery these are. I get them every single time I go.

My husband loves that he can get lunch food while I stoll get my breakfast.

The skillets ate amazing and so is the chicken salad crescent (which is his temporary favorite)“

In addition to being 40 minutes away that night we live 5 hours away and this was a major inconvenience. The next morning on the way to the funeral home I made contact with the restaurant and asked that they check around for the wallet. After several IMMEDIATELY RETURNED messages, they found it! Of course this was a huge relief. In addition to being impressed with the quick response, concern and empathy for our situation…the dining experience was amazing. Great views. The food and service was excellent and the owner, Jerry, was kind enough to listen to stories of my childhood, working in the hardware store that my great grandfather started back in the early 1900s. Was lucky enough to work for my grandpa there while in middle school. Great to see some of the original things that have been kept. We will be back next time we visit.“

“I stopped by here on a whim last Saturday night because a friend recommended it to me. it's a quaint little joint in a 'middle of nowhere' kinda town. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. Not too big, well lit and a friendly crowd. I was told that I had to try the food. Whenever I first try a new place, I usually try a burger of it's on their menu. Lots of smoked meats are available here as well! Brisket, ribs, wings etc. Quite the selection! I got the bacon cheeseburger and omg! It was BANGIN!! Come hungry too cause it's a half pound of mouth watering beefy deliciousness! The crinkle cut fries are an awesome addition to this monster burger as well. 😋 I ended up staying longer than expected as some people that I knew showed up and it was worth it! Great time here. I'll definitely be back (if they allow me) Did I mention the awesome bartender? 😎 Highly recommended.“

We are vegetarians, so we were very excited to see the impossible meatloaf. it was AMAZING. This was the best meal I have ever had! Everyone was so nice, and we didn't even mention that it was our anniversary. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner absolutely perfect.“

“Pam was a great bartender & the food as excellent. We travel from Huntley, IL, down RT 47 to Milwaukee to visit our son at college for his home games and this will be our new go to place. The salmon was cooked perfectly & hubby loved his shrimp tacos. Hubby also said the tab beer was perfect. He could tell the beer lines were clean & the beer was nice and cold! We will be back for sure. A+ experience.“

“Fabulous ....... Was there for dinner during SoberFest 2025 on Satur evening. Manager Brain is great, funny and actually noticed he gets his hands dirty and helps out with tables assisting servers. We had no reservation and he got us a table without issue. Our server KatieN was fabulous as well.
And to top it all off they opened the buffet early and what a fabulous deal price wise, great selection & choices for food. I took advantage of the all you can eat & everything was top notch & tasted great. Honestly, I'm not a big buffet fan but I would Never hesitate to do the buffet here and for what you get it is priced Very fairly. “My family and I had an absolute wonderful experience at Popeyes this evening! We shared the crab Rangoon dip and it did not disappoint. I had all you can eat cod and it was amazing! The 2 older kids had all you can eat tenders, my 4 year old had a cheeseburger and my mom had the Fishermans Basket. All items were incredible and eaten in full. The decor was fun, the staff was insanely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It's a huge place with valet parking in the back. If I lived nearby, I would go at least once a month! Definitely stop in!!!!“
