“It's an area icon! If you like history. The foods always great there servers are mostly great. But it's sooooo loud u can't have a conversation. If your kiddos are sensitive to sound or anyone is hard of hearing use caution choosing times to go. Otherwise a great piece of history“

“I've been here a few times now since the change from Touch of Class and am always pleasantly surprised at the quality. The food is great, and usually exactly what I'm wanting. The chef has dropped by my table a few times after we've eaten just to make sure everything was good and what we were wanting. The service is always rather quick and polite too! The overall ambience seems to still be developing as time goes on but nothing bad. A great "burger" joint (with far more selections) that hopefully continues into the future.“

“Food was pretty good. We had the all you can eat fishboil, chicken and ribs. The chicken and ribs were great, the fish was good but a bit dry. We did wait over an hour for our food at 5:30 pm on a Friday, but they were busy. Overall it was good, we usually go to another restaurant just over the border in Wisconsin for fish boil and honestly, their fish is better, but this place has a more extensive menu and better ribs. The cherry desert was excellent. I think we would return but maybe come a little earlier in hopes of avoiding the crowd.“

“I stopped in today by chance, I was hungry and have passed this place several times over the years. This place was amazing. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious. My girlfriend had the Nashville chicken Flatbread which was also delicious. We also had the wonton cheese sticks, they were awesome. Our waitress Makayla was great, very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu items. The bar tender Emily also greeted us and asked how the drinks were. Great place, very clean and welcoming. “Due to the superb quality of the food and the outstanding service this has quickly become my wife and I's favorite spot to eat. We will probably be returning weekly and will be regular customers. The young man who does the serving is very attentive and more polite than anyone else I've ever seen in a restaurant. They always greet you when you walk in and say goodbye when you leave. “Stop here a couple times a month. This is 100% dive bar. Overall it’s pretty worn down but kept pretty clean. The locals are friendly and typically interact with others. Food is pretty good and they have daily specials. There seems to be enough parking at least during the day. Bar tenders are friendly and do a good job with the service. Pool table, darts and gambling machines. A few tvs are typically playing some sports.“

Perfect seasoning, healthy chicken, and so much more affordable than the big chains. They are so good I had to order 3 dozen to go. “I stopped in Sunday morning at the 11am opening time. I had the place to myself and had the pleasure of hanging out with Justin. The , he served me up some amazing ribs. So tender and full of flavors. Alongside these he served me this amazing side of smoked chicken pasta salad (get it!). I ate almost all of the Cole slaw which I never do. Both it and the potato salad I received had like a German flair to them. Both also some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Hidden gem only 35 minutes from the house! Thanks, guys!“

“Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. “It was a busy night tonight for sure. I waited two hours plus for my food to be delivered and it came cold and missing items. I called and talked to a very nice and patient manager I believe her name was Jen. We knew this was not the norm for service and food cause I’ve been ordering for 8 plus years. Long story short they made the order again and delivered the food a second time. I appreciate the the staff and their understanding. Thank you for your great service and food!“

“We never knew this place existed until stumbling upon it on Google Maps. It literally looks like just a house with a small sign out front. The bartender was very personable and the owner was the sweetest. Food was excellent! My boyfriend got the reuben which he loved! Thick sandwich with REAL meat (not lunch meat slices!) I got the garlic-lime shrimp skewers which were smokey and delicious! We can't wait to go back for the fish fry which seems to have amazing reviews! Glad we found this place!“

Their bread is second best to my favorite red and black team, and the service is a little more helpful. The employees are always patient with you and make sure you're comfortable with your decision on toppings before they actually place them on your sandwich. I definitely feel like their vegetables are fresh, and the meat is tasty, but not top quality. Again, I am comparing a chain to Euro-style sandwiches. I'm not expecting top tier, but I am definitely happy with the sandwich I get, which is always the Mr. Sub. This location is hidden in a Mobil gas station, which I would have never found had I not searched for places to eat in Fox Lake. I barely know the area, having moved here from Chicago. Definitely check them out. What's also cool is that if there are other incidentals that you need from the gas station shop, it's there for you to purchase along with your sandwich. Love it!“
