“I had the special this month, which was a chicken. Avocado, bacon bread, red onion sub. Starting with the bread, it was just absolutely perfect. The bread was crunchy on the outside. Soft on the inside all the ingredients were extremely fresh. Also had a side of chili which was really tasty. I look forward to my next visit.“
“"the" Kitchen in Sussex, is a hidden gem. I am hesitant to review it publicly because it may lose its small town diner feel.I have been here 2x, both times for breakfast. Fast service, friendly service, quick coffee and good. My first time I had an omelette - nothing wrong with it. The second time I had the Corned Beef with two eggs over easy - nothing wrong with it. And, a side of ham - moist and not dryed out. The wheat bread both times were good.A nice, small town diner that for me does it right.I will be back (at least) 1x per week.“
“Went for breakfast. Restaurant was considerably full but was seated immediately. Waitress brought the menu and seemed less than friendly. Put in my order, received food. Grandma's garden skillet was excellent. Waitress never returned to the table to check on food or anything. I'm not sure if she was upset because it was a table of one as opposed to a family number, but just never seemed like she was pleased. Didn't notice any changes with her on her larger tables nearby either. Restaurant would be a 5 all around but staff can always change the environment.“
“Food wasn't that great. French onion soup lacked flavor, too much cheese that just clumped in my mouth. Hard to chew. Lots of bread, but not much onion. Turkey platter also lacked flavor, gravy was tasteless, turkey had some flavor, mashed potatoes ok, very thick white bread underneath made it look like a bigger helping of turkey than it was. Liked that they put a pot of coffee on the table so I could help myself.“

“Trying to base this off my collective experience of going here over the course of many years. Overall the food is a tremendously good deal if you want something that's much healthier than traditional fast food and for a very competitive price. They also cater which is a fantastic option for parties and other events.My only complaint is that the drink cups are a little flimsy ;)“

“Wasn't busy at all. Explained first time here. Cashier explained all the details. Was Ash Wednesday, so I needed a meatless meal. Cashier said "a veggie or a basil & mozzarella pizza". Then she asked if I wanted both so I didn't have to choose. Ate from the extensive salad buffet, where both hot/cold items are offered, along with cinnamon rolls & brownies, which I didn't try cause I was too full The salad buffet was plenty, but I really wanted pizza & could smell them baking. Within about 15 mins, both pizzas were on the buffet. Smelled as good as they tasted. Love the crust! I think this pizza would be good cold, or the next day reheated. They also have lots of pizza ideas on their menu, or make your own. Don't remember if drinks are included in the price. “First time, I stopped here while waiting for a car repair up the road. Very impressed with how nice it is inside! Super friendly staff, and great coffee. The menu is unique and the house omelette was tasty. One more star if the hours were extended on the weekends. I'll be back though, for sure.“

“Tried their chicken from a friend, and it was good, so I decided to go myself and see if it's consistency in the cooking...Went Sunday at 545p with the doors locked when they have posted Open at 3pm, So I call and was told they'd be open at 630p and sounded like I just woke them up. Bad business. I went elsewhere. I'll update my review once I officially try them...Update: Got to try for myself and the taste is consistent... talked with the owner and he was very nice and explained the opening/closing times and the situation before... and he's a late night spot... sometimes he's a one man show so be patient... no call in orders after 9pm... just pull up...“

“First time pizza pick up order at Carol Ann’s. We are new to the area and decided to give this pizzeria a go. We were told 30 minutes and our pizza would be ready. We had a little drive to get there from Jackson, but our friendly order taker said no problem, we will keep it hot right on top of our oven. It was so! Arrived to find a friendly face and our pizza ready. We ordered DICED onions and green peppers (not sliced) as well as black olives and pepperoni. It was prepared exactly as we asked, and done to perfection! I wish we would have taken a pic, because this ‘Za looked as good as it tasted. Not too much cheese, not too much sauce. (My wife likes a lot of cheese, and I like more sauce). The crust was delicious and tasted home made. Perhaps a pinch more salt would benefit, but that is splitting hairs. We will definitely be back. Thanks Carol Ann’s for good service and a great pizza!“
“I really enjoy the chicken potpie soup. I also like the Avo Turkey on Flatbread. ? The staff was nice, they didn't engage with me and the first time guests that accompanied me. They did not offer suggestions even after being asked, "What's good on the menu?" I provided my guest with my suggestions, and she was pleased.“
“Nice place, not busy early evening. Very good pizzas and salads. Old Italian restaurant decor gives it a comfortable feeling. Downsides:1. The music. Not really needed and a bit too loud. (4 star)2. They were out of all but one red wine offering, which was a bit sweet for my taste. Really! Still give 5 stars tho.We will return.Dietary restrictions: My wife has celiac. “After a long Monday, I did not want to cook. I pass this place every day and saw it was a new name & new ownership. Tonight we thought we'd check it out. Totally impressed! We ordered pizza, boneless chicken and sour cream & chive fries. The pizza was absolutely amazing, the food was fantastic!!! I'm so excited to have a place where the food Is great and a place to hang out with my girlfriends & its close...I am so happy.
