“This bar reminds me of home, and the experience here is very unique. That is, the bar accommodates for the fire house next door. It's a community - where firefighters chill outside and casually converse with the bar crowds. Music plays loud enough on the patio that the entire street corner can be entertained, and there is always an open invitation to be a part of it all! One of the best experiences at this bar is when the fire truck departs for another alarm, the entire community is there to support and cheer the firefighters aboard. It's quite the event! Hosed On Brady is a blue collar joint with a massive stake in the community. That is, the bar is always a part of any community event or festivals, the bar offers meat raffles, and the bar supports the community. The staff is great and has one of the best bartenders [Ruby] on Brady Street! I definitely got hosed on Brady!“

“The Stone might be the friendliest bar in Milwaukee. Before I settled my butt into a seat at the bar, someone welcomed me with a hello and a welcome. Soon, more of the customers ambled up to me to talk about a myriad of subjects. This was an eclectic crowd, and obviously, all were welcome. These days, I'm invariably the oldest cat in the joint, but no one at the Stone seemed to notice. Neither did my dark glasses or fedora cause people at The Stone to keep their distance. That was very cool because how I dress is often construed as pretentious in the down-to-earth confines of Milwaukee. However, the regulars at The Stone let my personality and discourse speak rather than my appearance. That meant a lot to me. I left The Stone knowing I always had a welcoming tavern to go to. What a wonderful feeling. The Stone is a special place. BTW, the drinks were fine, and the prices were good.“

“Very good food and service. Had the Currywurst with a 1/2 liter Light Munich Lager. Portion was not huge, but neither was the price. Walked out with a $20 bill, which was a great deal. Service was quick and fun. Had a large party and had no problem fitting us. Will definitely visit again when in town.“

“I had a catfish sandwich the other day and… The bread was toasted just right with butter on both sides. The onions, lettuce and tomato was perfectly crispy. The restaurant reached out to this person through Messenger, but because they blocked Being Still, there is no way to respond to them. And they took the comments off their facebook page and blocked Being Still.... nice.... Seems sneaky to not leave a honest review up for people to see the conversations, but to only have the good ones on your Facebook page. “Although I have never closed Wolski’s, I have stopped in for drinks and darts and was not disappointed! However my favorite experience at Wolski’s actually happened without ever leaving my car. I drive rideshare and was picking up there. As I pulled up, I immediately noticed the bouncer arguing with some drunk college-aged guy who was clearly being denied admission. As all his friends walked past him and handed off their ID’s, the bouncer kept dealing with his mouth, but stayed calm and just kept repeating “go home”. But Kevin thought his turtleneck and sweater combo granted him access anywhere so he tried to slip past. He made it through the first door before the bouncer body slammed him and the door slowly shut behind them. The need to know what was going on behind that door overwhelmed me and I considered getting out of my car. But my thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open and the bouncer threw Kevin out like Uncle Phil did Jazzy Jeff. The best part - the bouncer looked to be in the 50+ age category. At that point, he gave up on trying to get through the bouncer, so he moved on to trying to scale the fence. When I tell you I about died when I saw his pathetic attempts to get over it, I mean he wouldn’t have stood a chance sober with a step stool. He eventually gave up on the fence and walked around to find another way in. I wanted to follow, to see what feeble attempt he would make next, but then my riders came. Just when I thought the story couldn’t get any better, they started talking about a douchebag whose friends all left him. I told them about the guy getting body slammed and they asked if he was wearing a turtleneck. I found out one of my riders was his ex-girlfriend so I of course told the story in full. My one question to her was “does he have a weird relationship with his mom?” And they all burst out laughing. Apparently he does. Shoutout to the bouncer!“

“My husband and I along with my two boys came to Milwaukee from Ellsworth, WI for a Sunday Brewers game on 9/28. We stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road from Aliota’s. The curbside appeal drew us in. The staff and the owner David immediately made us feel welcomed. The food was on point - best homemade blue cheese dressing I have ever had!! What a great little bar!! We will definitely be making this a yearly stop on our trips back to Milwaukee! Keep up the great service everyone! We were very impressed! Go Brewers!!“

“My husband is a huge soccer fan so we decided to do the rehearsal dinner for our wedding this summer at the Red Lion out on the back patio. It was the most perfect venue and meal! Our friends and family raved about the food and planning everything (including drink tickets, menu, and dealing with a year long postponement during a pandemic) was easy with their event coordinator. We were able to play games on the deck and mingle and had plenty of room when a few extra unexpected guests arrived. Would recommend for any event!“

Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. “This place is fantastic! We came here with a larger group for Sunday brunch. The commutation when it came to setting up the reservation was great. We were welcomed in and were able to immediately start ordering drinks. The bartenders were awesome the whole time we were there (we stayed there for about 4 hours). You go up to a window to order food and are given a pager. This worked out great because everyone could eat whatever they wanted to. The food was delicious!!! All of it!! They also had vending machines with fun stuff in them and pull tabs so that kept everyone busy for a while. I’d definitely return and can’t wait to try more off the menu!
