“Quaint small tucked in bar right off Brady street. Drinks were flowing and bartender and locals were cool. Stayed until the later hours of the night until closing. Not much else to say but a fun place to hit if you want a simple vibe to drink the night away.“

Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. “I had a catfish sandwich the other day and… The bread was toasted just right with butter on both sides. The onions, lettuce and tomato was perfectly crispy. And the fish was fried to perfection with a tasteful crust. I opened it up and gave it perfect sprinkles of hot sauce to top it off. First to last bite was heaven on earth.“

“My husband and I along with my two boys came to Milwaukee from Ellsworth, WI for a Sunday Brewers game on 9/28. We stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road from Aliota’s. The curbside appeal drew us in. The staff and the owner David immediately made us feel welcomed. The food was on point - best homemade blue cheese dressing I have ever had!! What a great little bar!! We will definitely be making this a yearly stop on our trips back to Milwaukee! Keep up the great service everyone! We were very impressed! Go Brewers!!“

“Although I have never closed Wolski’s, I have stopped in for drinks and darts and was not disappointed! However my favorite experience at Wolski’s actually happened without ever leaving my car. I drive rideshare and was picking up there. As I pulled up, I immediately noticed the bouncer arguing with some drunk college-aged guy who was clearly being denied admission. As all his friends walked past him and handed off their ID’s, the bouncer kept dealing with his mouth, but stayed calm and just kept repeating “go home”. But Kevin thought his turtleneck and sweater combo granted him access anywhere so he tried to slip past. He made it through the first door before the bouncer body slammed him and the door slowly shut behind them. The need to know what was going on behind that door overwhelmed me and I considered getting out of my car. But my thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open and the bouncer threw Kevin out like Uncle Phil did Jazzy Jeff. The best part - the bouncer looked to be in the 50+ age category. At that point, he gave up on trying to get through the bouncer, so he moved on to trying to scale the fence. When I tell you I about died when I saw his pathetic attempts to get over it, I mean he wouldn’t have stood a chance sober with a step stool. He eventually gave up on the fence and walked around to find another way in. I wanted to follow, to see what feeble attempt he would make next, but then my riders came. Just when I thought the story couldn’t get any better, they started talking about a douchebag whose friends all left him. I told them about the guy getting body slammed and they asked if he was wearing a turtleneck. I found out one of my riders was his ex-girlfriend so I of course told the story in full. My one question to her was “does he have a weird relationship with his mom?” And they all burst out laughing. Apparently he does. Shoutout to the bouncer!“

“This little hole-in-the-wall bar is about as no-frills as it gets, and that's part of its charm. There's just one bartender who also handles all the cooking, so be patient—it keeps the place running. Every sandwich comes on garlic bread, which is a nice touch and sets them apart.

The food was fair overall, the service was fair, and the prices are hard to beat. Just remember to bring cash since it's cash only. If you're looking for an affordable local spot with a laid-back atmosphere, it's worth checking out. I'll definitely stop back and give a few more items on the menu a try.“

The restaurant reached out to this person through Messenger, but because they blocked Being Still, there is no way to respond to them. And they took the comments off their facebook page and blocked Being Still.... nice.... Seems sneaky to not leave a honest review up for people to see the conversations, but to only have the good ones on your Facebook page. Instead of having to go look in the review section to find honest reviews.“

“My husband is a huge soccer fan so we decided to do the rehearsal dinner for our wedding this summer at the Red Lion out on the back patio. It was the most perfect venue and meal! Our friends and family raved about the food and planning everything (including drink tickets, menu, and dealing with a year long postponement during a pandemic) was easy with their event coordinator. We were able to play games on the deck and mingle and had plenty of room when a few extra unexpected guests arrived. Would recommend for any event!“

We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious.
