“I stopped in last night with my mom and best friend before seeing a comedy show at the Riverside. We got there early because we were anticipating a decent wait time. Charlie met us at the door and was super friendly. He apologized that it would be a 30 minute wait, which we anticipated, and he was asking us about what show we were seeing and cracked a few jokes. Our table was actually ready in 15 minutes, and Daniel was our server. Also, very friendly and personable. When I went to order my drink, he let me know they didn't have it in at the moment, but he had a few other options ready to suggest and really made sure I got something close to what I wanted to order. Pit food came out quickly and was delicious. Daniel kept checking in, and when we went to order drinks to go with out dessert, he was ready to make sure we got drinks we would be happy with. As we left, both were very friendly and said goodbye, saying they hoped we came back to tell them about the show. We were very happy and impressed. The 3 of us said we would love to go back again if we are back in the area for another show. Thank you so much Charlie and Daniel for an amazing night out last night.“
“Fantastic burgers at any price, but for $10.75 you get the Big O, or a little less for the other burgers. Sides are great. Service is great (and usually pretty fast). Have yet to have a bad experience, and I don’t expect I will. I go out of my way to come here for lunch. Truly a hidden gem, although probably not for much longer.Parking: There’s a significant curb to get over to get into the parking lot. If you drive a low car, park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Are you kidding me! Wow. Small pub big time food and beverage. I could not wait to get off 94 N to eat at this place. Fish sandwich out of this world. Bloody Mary worthy of a crown. If your into burgers this is your spot. What's best is that prices are so reasonable. A must!“
“Stopped in to LP with my kiddo and wife before the Jonas Brothers concert. I had seen their delicious food photos on Instagram and knew this would be a good spot for us. While other restaurants in the district had hour and a half plus waits, we practically owned the place sitting wherever we liked. On event days they have a reduced menu. As they were slow, the kitchen gracefully allowed us to place a regular menu Crustless Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque order for our kiddo. I ordered the LP Burger with bacon ($14 + $2.5 - double smash, sharp american cheese, shredded lettuce, fresh tomato, shaved red onion, LP sauce, potato roll) and my wife ordered the Potato Chip Crusted Chicken Sammy ($12 - honey mop glaze, mayo, shredded lettuce and pickles). The bar has a fair amount of good bourbons and at decent prices for being in the deer district, such as the double neat pour of Stagg I had. There was one bartender/server for the place, but she knew how to hustle while still being super friendly. The interior could use some art on the walls, but is bright and clean otherwise. The food was delicious and presented very well. That bacon I paid extra for? Oh my goodness. Thick cut, perfectly cooked, so dang good. Usually I regret adding bacon but here it is a must. My 8-year-old kiddo, who is practically a vegetarian at this point, devoured her grilled cheese and half of the big bowl of soup. I never even saw my wife's chicken sammy, so you know it was good when it goes down that fast. Thankfully as our food arrived the place started to fill, as they deserve to be filled! I want to come back on a non-event day to try the shrimp poboy, their house dry rub wings, as well as on the weekend for their brunch.“
“I made my first visit to O’Brien’s and loved it. Laid back, fun atmosphere, nice owner, and Chaz, an excellent server. We ordered Guinness (of course), the Mac and cheese and a burger. The food was delicious. This is a new favorite place and we’re definitely going back!“
“Really great wings cool place: got stuck in a hotel here when a huge snow storm shut the city down. Ended up talking to the owners brother for a bit. They have a real passion for their food. I would highly recommend trying their wings, the mustard based hot sauces were really good. But I was surprised that their Cap’n Crunch wings were my favourite. If I’m back in the city I’ll make sure to stop by again.“
“We walked in on a Sunday about 45 minutes before a Bucks game started. I am glad we didn't walk in an hour and a half before because I doubt there would have been space. It slowly emptied out as the game approached and started. What a lively crowd, super excited for their Bucks, who my son informed me were doing well. The food was amazing; you need to get the giant pretzel. The cheese curds were good. The fries were good. And our brats were definitely delicious! Highly recommend the Southsider.“
“Pete’s is a great little pub, especially in contrast to most of the other options on Brady St. It’s definitely a sports bar (and a great place to catch early morning football matches or F1 races!), but without all the neon and cheesiness, and with unexpectedly great drink options. The food menu is full of great versions of popular pup foods, and the staff is always really friendly and good at what they do. You do have to order everything at the bar (vs. servers and table service) which can be a little cumbersome and hectic when the pub gets busy, but it’s not really something that takes away from the experience as a whole. Overall, highly recommend this place!“
“Best pizza in Milwaukee. Excellent wings and eggplant fries too. Large booths so you can take little kids too. Great beer selection and friendly staff. My family tries to stop every time in town and I often grab some to go when driving through MKE.“
“Great atmosphere! I always feel like family, even though I'm newer to the place. Bartenders are attenrive and each one has their own unique personality, so there's something for everyone. Specials every day, with special events scattered through the calendar! Good times!“
“The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and you have an awesome bar to socialize in right next to it. Jay has weekly rates as well as monthly. Awesome guy to talk to and has a great place to stay.Parking: The motel parking is a little tight, but plenty of room to park my dually.Across the street from the bar there is another parking lot that has lots of room as well.“
“Amazing. I've never been to a sports bar where they were interested in the same sports I was. As an Arsenal fan, I recognized the logo and name immediately and had to check it out. The bartenders were super friendly and the people there were so kind. Can't rate the booze, cause I didn't have any. Canned Coke was cold though ?“
“Food was delicious but a little bit too greasy for us. The tartar sauce was different. I would suggest maybe putting a tiny bit of macintosh apple in there. The coleslaw was not sweet what I'm used to. It was very sour so I don't know if it's supposed to taste like that or if it was old. My son wanted to try the chicken tenders but they don't serve them on the same days as fish fries. My son ended up getting the last burger. They were all out after that. Not sure if this happens often but I felt bad for the people that came in after us that left because they were there for burgers. Service was a little slow. The atmosphere was a little too dark for us. Overall I give this a four star.“
“This establishment does not have gluten free options HOWEVER, the server who realized I was asking about gluten free foods was so patient when asking the cooks about what they may be able to do to accommodate me. Really above and beyond service. The vibes are great. And food for non-gluten free people is really yummy.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free optionsParking: Depending on how busy it is you may be able to get a spot in the lot. The lot is quite small though.“
“My partner and I have been going to this neighborhood bar for about 3 years now. They have friendly bartenders and patrons, great rotating craft beer list, classic dart boards, and the fizziest drinks in bayview! If you're looking for a place to relax or cheer on local sports teams, this is your spot!“
“For many years Von Trier has been the quintessential German bar in Milwaukee's east side. I used to live so close to it and now that I'm no longer in Wisconsin I miss it. Von Trier is, I should say, more German than many of the German bars I've visited while traveling in Germany. Tradition is important, and you can see that from wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling, you can see that in the decoration and the style. Von Trier has an impressive and large selection of beer, and I think for any fan of German beer, or just good beer in general, you'll definitely find something to stimulate your palate and placate your thirst. I visit Wisconsin once a year and I always come back here. Good memories and good beer. As it should be.“
“The wings were amazing! A semi-spicy dry rub that is completely worth the wait (and there will be a wait, especially on the Wednesday night wing special). Fairly priced beer with an awesome bartender. The only downfall for me was the music was a little loud, and one of the speakers in the back room is blown out so doesn't sound good on certain songs.“
“Cool bar, great vibes. Went there during winter and found a cool regular spot to hang at. Veronica was awesome. She taught us the ways of Milwaukee bar dice, hooked us up with some souvenirs to take home, and all around fun conversations. Definitely gonna visit Nomad whenever I'm in Milwaukee next.“
“Fast upbeat service with a cool crowd. I enjoy the open Jam they just started doing monthly. Only Improvement I can see is that perhaps the dart league could be on a different day than the open Jam, this way people are not bumping into each other so much.“
“You won't be disappointed in the food, its really good. I just can't get over the beer prices.. 10 dollars for a beer is insane. 7-10 dollars for craft/local beer.. shooo. The food is worth checking out though. ??? Get the Half-Chicken if you want something fried and fantastic.“
“Hands down one of the best establishments in the greater Milwaukee area! The food is amazing and CHEAP, as are the drinks. The bartender is a woman of the highest class, and the patrons open and friendly. It's like a blast from the past, few places of this caliber exist anywhere in the United States. It's up to us to give it the business to keep it here!“
“We went Saturday at 7:00, small place that seemed crowded but we were seated pretty soon and didn't mind waiting in the bar having fancy cocktail. They have all the Supper Club style cocktails, most are 7$, domestic beers $4. We had rumaki, onion straws, creamed spinach, and 6oz filets that had a good char and were buttery inside, the steaks come with french fries and mushrooms included. The servers were very friendly to my parents and they poured the martinis tableside with a martinis shaker. They have ice cream drinks that are boozy and big as a milkshakes. I felt everything in there was very reasonably priced, but exceptionally good.“
“A great smaller not so much of a dive bar. Bear keep is on their A game the entire time. A nice place to crawl into with a few friends and enjoy a game or some good conversation. Patrons are friendly, nothing rowdy or stupid. Been here before and I'll happily go again!! Prices on drinks are well below any other bar!!!“
“Fun and lively place to have a beer and watch soccer! Classic German beers are available as well as some rotating American/local ones. The food is also excellent. I’ve had their pretzel, corned beef with French fries, and sausage platter. All are delicious. They have live polka music on Friday evenings along with free drinks from a keg of beer they tap at 6pm (first come, first serve until the keg runs out). It’s street parking, which can be a pain depending on the time of day and what else is going on in the Deer District but I’ve always been able to find something.“
“A friend of mine took me to this bar. It's a gay bar, I guess. I'm not gay, but the atmosphere was nice and friendly. I played dice at the bar. The drinks were good. I will probably go back again. It was pretty laid back, and being a straight guy there, I didn't feel any pressure to do anything other than enjoy my drinks, and just talk to the other patrons.“
“Best g*****g pizza in the whole state! I met my partner here. This bar has such an intimate personality and friendly bartenders, one would be wont to think that they are back in their hometown, supping succulent drinks with all their old friends at an intimate dive! Getting Hosed on Brady is possibly the best night one could have on Brady!“
“This is a real-deal British pub, from the outside to the inside. The English-pub vibe is dripping from the walls and ceiling! Gotta love that huge Union Jack covering the entire ceiling. We arrived mid-afternoon, so it was not busy. Our service was quick and the food arrived promptly. I liked that the menu leaned heavily towards English pub food items. The cheese curds had a light crunchy coating. My wife described her ‘fish n’ chips’ order as the best she has ever eaten. The breading was light, flaky, crunchy. Not over-seasoned and oily. There was plenty on the plate for 2. I really enjoyed my Shepards pie. It was prepared just the way it should: loaded with meat, both ground and chunks of lamb. You could taste the red wine reduction soaked into the meat. All covered with smooth cheesy mashed potatoes. It was all washed down with a tall glass of Guinness.Cool pub. Really good food. I’d love to see it at happy hour or St Patrick’s Day. We will definitely go back.“
“I keep getting the bahn mi burger over and over because that savory sesame sauce with the pickled veggies is a perfect burger topping. The buns are pleasingly pillowy, and the fries have a tongue-tickling seasoning. It can get a little loud if people are there watching a game, but service is fast and the food remains a great deal. I've been here probably ten times!“
“Mitchell's is one of the last "classic " taverns around today like the tomato patch or Remo's. Brent, the owner, is and has been one of the most solid guy there is,his passion and presence in his his bar shows highly in his atmosphere of Mitchell's. Occasionally there is a car show here and I know that a lot of past and present patrons love when he has a show but due to COVID,it's never been the same as it used to be but I truly recommend Mitchell's for anyone that likes the relaxed setting and perfect for a beverage and the almighty "wind down "of the day.“
“Cool bar, great selection of beverages including their own canned old fashioneds! They had 3 separate bar areas to go to which was nice and offered pretty much the same selection everywhere including a delicious brandy slush!Large Windows offered a nice natural light, not sure if they opened in summer. They had a cool deal where you could get a shirt, shot and beer for $28 which seemed great, but the beer was limited to 2 choices and the shot was just the house Brandy- which was Delicious, but not everyone in the group liked brandy- still a cool offer and a pretty good price.A few down sides were that it was a little cramped by the 2 dart boards with people cutting through the game being right next to the bar and tables. Also there's was only enough darts for one board- not a huge deal but realized after we put money in and had to Wait 40 minutes for another group to finish, luckily we weren't in a hurry. The men's bathroom only had 1 stall and 1 urinal which didn't seem like much for how large the bar was.I didn't even realize they offered food there if they did, I didn't see a menu anywhere. This bar was definitely unique, the brand is awesome, great concept, and I'll go back again for sure!“
“Patty's Pub is somewhere between an urban legend and a hidden gem. Most people only go there on St. Patrick's day and don't really remember it.The entrance is through a hallways patio to get to basically a big, odd house. The bar is on the left and there's a room that goes to another room on the right. The upstairs (open rarely) is similar. The bar also leads to the back of the patio. The patio is big. People were grilling and having a buffet. There's also tables on the other side of the giant fountain. There lots of plants but if you look close half of them are plastic. They have typical dive bar beer and regular drinks. It's a fun place to go. The staff is mostly older and unphased by anything.“
“Nice place to drink after a long day at work. The service is very fast even on busy days. The food is your typical bar type food. Nothing special. A local place the coworkers go after work because it is close by. The enter and exit is confusing because driveway is hidden. So because very caution.“
