“We have been coming for a few years and each time it gets better. Located across from the marina you feel the water breezes. The outside dining area is awesome but the inside is like being on vacation. Staff, Patrons, and food are awesome. It’s the kind place you can go alone and leave feeling like you were with friends.Kid-friendliness: Couple of games and a pool table for the younger ones. Also across from the park.“

“Very disappointed from last year when we came for Valentine's week. Last year we were treated to a couple's three course menu which included a choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. The choices were good and the price was reasonable. The day after Valentine's Day was busy. This year the special day menu was just very expensive optional entrees and the restaurant was nearly empty. Our service was fine. The ambience was nice. We hope the restaurant can recover.“

“Stopped by J’s back in November 2023. My cousin, who went to college in Ripon, highly recommended we eat here. The special for the week was brisket tacos. I’m not kidding when I say it might have been the best meal I’ve ever had. I know it’s not a regular menu item but it should be. One of the owners even checked in with us at the end of the night to see how our experience was. Amazing food and wonderful passionate people! If you’re in Ripon you absolutely need to stop at J’s BBQ.“
