“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. “We were looking for a bakery on Father's day and we found Bishop's Sweets. The banana cream pie, banana pudding and peach cobbler were amazing and brought back memories for my husband. It was a blessing to find Bishop's Sweets and meet Shane. His story is inspirational and we will definitely be back to try more. “Bread its good. But go early morning otherwise you wont have much options. Prices are high but no where near other bakeries. Mini conchas are 50 cents but 2yrs ago they were 3 for 1 dollar. Floors look dirty but bread is always fresh. They sell bolillos 3 for 1 dollar. They have milk gallons, single slices of cake, can sodas, hot coffee. You can order cakes. They take cash and card. But for card it has to be atleat $5. No restrooms. Parking for around 10cars. They dont accept EBT anymore . Prices are ok and u get ur own little platic bag and plastic glove and choose ur own piece of bread.“

“I called another bakery (not National Bakery) that’s on Greenfield in West Allis, wanted to order a cake for the following week. The lady on the phone wasn’t very nice and told me I had to order online then put me on hold forever. So I hung up and called National Bakery. Boy am I glad I did. The lady that answered was so nice and so helpful. I got the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever had. Really made my birthday special. National Bakery is my go-to bakery from now on. “My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“I grew up in this neighborhood, so while I might not be of Mexican descent, I grew up with access to pan dulce. Unlike some other panaderias in the area, this place was jammed full of variety right away when they were open. You could feel the warmth coming off some of the racks, things were that fresh. I don't know if it's a flavor that isn't as popular as it was thirty years ago when I was a teen, but they didn't have pumpkin/calabaza empanada, which is my favorite. I can only reliably get those at El Rey, but they don't open as early. I got a coconut empanada instead, which I hadn't tried before, and it's now my second favorite, still behind pumpkin. It's so good.

If you were looking for a place where you can get a big variety of pan dulce, right away in the morning, this is the place. I highly recommend it. The price was really good, too.“

“i went here a long time ago about 2013. i was a regular because my grandma's house is nearby. she liked the pumpkin empenadas when they had any left. from the morning rush. i usually got the chocolate muffins with chips. they also had soft bread. as long as you ate it rightaway.

“My friend, Margaret, introduced me to Hillside. Great place to meet and catch up with friends and family. We went for the delicious, specialty coffee, but were more than tempted to see the yummy pastries available. They also have homemade breakfast sandwiches for sale. Staff has always been more than accommodating whether they're at the counter or as Barista. Also, look forward to their Cinnamon Rolls available only on Sundays. Rose, the owner, and former baker, has hit a home run with this place. She's sweet as a peach and her shop is very warm and welcoming. You'll find beautiful, hand crafted and delicate pastries to go with your fabulous coffee. Love this place and hope it's part of Oak Creek for a long time to come.“
