“My daughter got married at Prairie Rapids on Saturday and I cannot say enough about Michelle, Tim and the staff! Everyone was soooo helpful and worked very hard to make the day special and perfect...and it was!!!! From specialty drinks to making sure the buffet stayed stocked to having the most perfect wedding spot by the river and fabulous bar and pavillion area to setting up and cleaning up ... thank you all sooo much for the lasting memories!!!!“

“Just updated their menu, great food hand-made to order not prepackaged, not burger "patties". The clam chowder is EXCELLENT. I haven't had a bad fish meal yet. Excellent flavor on each. Just tried the BBQ Bourbon Maple burger with sweet potato fries most recently - YUM! Due to the size of the place and the kitchen you WILL have a long wait on a Friday and sometimes a Saturday. Either be patient and expect it or go another night. They are one of the rare area places open on Monday night. Thursdays and Sundays are also great nights to go without a wait. Every place is packed on Friday around here and most cannot get the staff, space or kitchen capacity to meet it so don't complain or say you weren't expecting a wait that day. Glad to have this place reopened and offering some excellent seafood you can't find anywhere else.“

“We stopped on our way home from Minocqua. Have driven past for many years and always noticed a lot of cars so had to stop and check it out for lunch. Felt like we were part of the locals. French onion soup was the best I have ever had. Will definitely stop again next trio to the northwoods.“

“We like Whitman's. Great circular bar so it's easy to have conversations and interact with others. The food is great bar food and more. The soups are delicious. There's t.v.'s, music, and additional seating beyond the bar. Clean and organized but not so updated as to lose the up north feel.“
