“Upon entering you're treated to a beautiful view of the lake through a huge wall to wall window, the sun was just going down. The walls were Northwoods logs with a knotty pine ceiling, and the perfect amount of well done taxidermy. The ambiance here is by far the best I personally have seen since I moved here from the Chicago suburbs 4 years ago. I was treated to dinner by my daughter, son-in-law, and 8 year old grandson up from Chicago for my birthday and the service was impeccable. Our waitress was friendly, very attentive, and even interacted with my grandson. I had the prime rib and it was very good but I unfortunately compare it to Lawry's Restaurant in Chicago which you can't beat because it's my mission to find up here.The others had the ravioli pasta and pork tenderloin and they really enjoyed it. My grandson had chicken strips with waffle fries but he didn't care for the seasoning on the fries but stole everyone else's broccoli which he really liked. Salads are not included with your entree which I feel was a disappointment and had to be ordered A la carte. Although, it may sound negative it was not. The dinner was wonderful overall and I will definitely go back. I recommend it for an upscale dining experience. You must try it.“

“This is a self proclaimed 5 star dive bar. However, the bartenders are attentive and mix a good cocktail; the bar food is acceptable and there are specials on different nights of the week; the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists and all are welcome.“

“Nice local pub for food and brews. Would recommend arriving early for dinner because the place fills up quickly and people come in consistently during the dinner hour. We had the pizza and the fried cheese curds for an appetizer and they were good. We would return to this establishment in the future.“

“Three of us were first-time visitors for dinner and loved it. We were seated by a big picture window overlooking Vance Lake. In addition to an interesting menu, the daily specials were intriguing. Our server was especially nice and very attentive. Next visit we will try their lunch menu and very soon our weather will enable us to enjoy a meal on their outside deck. The three of us all give this restaurant 5 stars.“

“4 stars because it needs to be, not an overly upity place. Food is great, had the burger and fries and it was great. Really wanted the homemade bbq pulled pork but it wasn't on special. The staff is really nice, family owned and operated. As far as drinks go, it looks like a pretty normal selection including some Wisconsin labels you don't see in most states. A couple of slots and pull tabs if that's your thing. For a down to earth good place to grab a bite and a beer (or cocktail) it has it all. 100% recommend it but will not give it 5 stars only because it would, in my opinion, be disrespectful to the establishment.“
