“I cannot say enough good things about this incredible restaurant. I wish I could give more than five stars in all categories. Dinner started with an incredible seafood patae followed by the delicious soup and tableside salad cart. The main course was that nightly special of blackened Prime rib which was beautifully cooked and seasoned. While I don't like dessert our group had the Bananas Foster and everyone loved it! The only negative is we eventually had to leave which we eventually did completely stuffed and happy. I cannot wait to visit them again next year.“
“Weekday dining only. The White Oak Grill is part of the Chippewa Retreat Resort and weekends are used for special events like weddings. No reservations…we had no trouble getting seated on a Wednesday night in mid October. Nice menu. Good bar.“
“Cozy atmosphere. Excellent service from Katelin. Our table had the filet, ribeye, burger, wedge salad, chicken strips, onion rings and French onion soup. Everything was delicious. I had a brandy old fashioned and it was one of the best I have had. All the customers looked like they were having a wonderful time and enjoying this supper club. Will definitely return!“

I have never stayed here as we stay in Mercer every year for vacation but they have been very generous in helping our yearly party of 14-18 people eat!Try the Reuben Soup. “What a neat place to stop in for a drink and take in all of the history this place has to offer. Beautiful decorated to match the historic aura of the time and staffed with friendly and attentive individuals who seem to really like their jobs. Everyone we spoke to raved about the food and I can say that my old fashion was fantastic. We only had drinks this visit.. but will definitely return to try the food that everyone seemed to be truly enjoying.“
“Three of us were first-time visitors for dinner and loved it. We were seated by a big picture window overlooking Vance Lake. In addition to an interesting menu, the daily specials were intriguing. Our server was especially nice and very attentive. Next visit we will try their lunch menu and very soon our weather will enable us to enjoy a meal on their outside deck. The three of us all give this restaurant 5 stars.“
“The spot “that isn’t closed permanently” for night life in the Manitowish Waters area. The smoked meat loaf is a must do. Good food, good drinks beautiful new landscaping creates a backyard deck playground for adults and family. Right on the park for a visit by boat.“
“There may be larger salad bars, but there are none better. Tonight I enjoyed an onion salad, a perfectly seasoned tomato salad, and delicious pickled peppers. The service was excellent. The personal experience of enjoying the evening with quality service staff and fun owners, is very hard to beat.“
“Upon entering you're treated to a beautiful view of the lake through a huge wall to wall window, the sun was just going down. The walls were Northwoods logs with a knotty pine ceiling, and the perfect amount of well done taxidermy. The ambiance here is by far the best I personally have seen since I moved here from the Chicago suburbs 4 years ago. I was treated to dinner by my daughter, son-in-law, and 8 year old grandson up from Chicago for my birthday and the service was impeccable. Our waitress was friendly, very attentive, and even interacted with my grandson. I had the prime rib and it was very good but I unfortunately compare it to Lawry's Restaurant in Chicago which you can't beat because it's my mission to find up here.The others had the ravioli pasta and pork tenderloin and they really enjoyed it. My grandson had chicken strips with waffle fries but he didn't care for the seasoning on the fries but stole everyone else's broccoli which he really liked. Salads are not included with your entree which I feel was a disappointment and had to be ordered A la carte. Although, it may sound negative it was not. The dinner was wonderful overall and I will definitely go back. I recommend it for an upscale dining experience. You must try it.“
