“Have been going to Woody's since August 2021. Friendly staff, and great selections on the menu. Location is great for people who like to ride motorcycles, bicycles or car. Located on HWY 83 and routes to many other contry roads. My personal favorites are the burgers or cracked chicken. Everything is good no matter what you order.“

“decent food. Friendly wait staff. Maybe 3.5 out of 5 stars for me. Only thing that I thought was odd is that you have to wait until your whole party has arrived before they will seat you. It's not a Bartolotta's restaurant, it's a bar. Only 4 of us looking for a regular 4 top table. They wouldn't seat us until the remaining 2 showed up. There were 11 open tables. The place was not packed. I thought that was strange.“

“Had a cheeseburger and fries plus classic Bloody Mary which was pretty good Plate burger and fries came on was too small so juice from pickles kinda saturated the bun. Ordered medium done for meat but pretty much raw. Maybe that was my fault and should of ordered med well? Liked the fries a lot as not too salty. Service was GREAT! Somehow my wallet came out of my pants pocket and must've fell on chair seat. When we'd left, server tried tracking us down but we were already on our way. I realized it wasn't on me when I got home so called. They had retrieved it and put it in a safe place until my son picked it up the next am. Honesty and integrity those workers have there. God bless them! ❤“

“Really good Fish Fry. I had the fried cod, wife had baked, MIL had Walleye. All really good. Potato Pancakes, coleslaw, German Potato Salad all yumm. Very good bourbon old fashioneds. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Will certainly go back.“

“Let’s start with 5 stars***** We visited Tally’s Tap on Wednesday October 8, 2025. This was our first visit. We spoke to a man on the way in, and he recommended the BBQ Ribs which was the ‘Homemade Dinner’ special - his name was Stan (a once a week regular). Inside we were promptly seated, and it was busy, with a full parking lot. Mike was our great waiter, and we also met Chad (another super friendly and knowledgeable waiter). I ordered a full rack of ribs, with Mac and cheese, fresh green beans, and corn bread for $24 (I think). Stan and Chad were right - the ribs were super tender, great BBQ sauce. I shared them with my husband and daughter and we all felt they were absolutely outstanding. Corn bread was very tasty as was the Mac and cheese. My husband ordered a wrap with grilled portobello, and a cilantro sauce - he said it was good. My daughter ordered a salad, with fried chicken sliced on top, and substituted the menu dressing for the green goddess. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was a lovely first visit, and we will be back! Thanks to the employees, and owners for making this such a great experience. By the way - I am very picky. I know good food because I worked in some great restaurants on the East Coast. It is tough to have me really love a meal - but you guys made that happen!“

“Went there for the first time on Christmas Day.. Owner opened up and welcomed us in. Her and “the regulars” were the nicest bunch of people we have encountered in the area. Fantastic neighborhood bar! Good drinks and the pizza was the best we have had in a long time! So few places open on Christmas Day, but this experience convinced us that this will be our go to place!“

“Stopped in for lunch and was glad I did. Friendly service from the jump—felt like a place where everyone knows each other, but newcomers are still welcome. Locals at the bar, couple of regulars playing games in the corner, and the staff chatting like it’s just another day in paradise.

It’s not quite a dive bar, but has that same laid-back, no-BS charm. Heard good things about the steak sandwich—can confirm it lives up to the hype. Solid lunch spot with a comfortable vibe, decent menu, and just enough grit to keep it real.“

“I travel for work so go here on Tuesday night for dinner. Great menu and specials. I suggest the pizza. Always a great atmosphere, very nice patrons come here. The bartender Iris is amazing, she literally handles the whole bar, brings out food orders, and so great as a bartender. I love just watching her make different drinks and socializing with customers. So sweet.
Prices are very good and like I said great specials. I go to a lot of different places in my travels but always stop here.“

“Finally just moved in there August the last year my son said the prime rib is absolutely delicious. I got to visit this place Saturday afternoon with my daughter-in-law. That place is very clean friendly lots of TV. Lots of tables friendly staff cannot wait to try the food I saw the shrimp and peel one day prime rib Saturday night tacos one night.“

“I ordered the fish and shrimp combo, and man let me tell you, it was outstanding! I had the fish blackened Cajun style had them dust some Cajun seasonings on the perfectly fried shrimp. I thought I was in Florida. If you know you know!“

“I had my brother-in-law's Celebration of Life party at the Thirsty Duck in Sussex for about 55 people. Jessica Neuhaus, the event sales manager, was great to work with and with her help we pulled off a great party. We were able to have a private part with plenty of room for everyone. Even the kids had a great time with the duck pin bowling and corn hole. We had the Southern Style BBQ dinner with pulled pork, smoked brisket and chicken. And, the food was Amazing! I had nothing but compliments from our guest and really it was all the Thirsty Duck. I highly recommend this venue for your next party. Lisa D.“

“The kitchen at the hideaway puts out some excellent tasting seasonal dishes such as the short ribs. Toady I was able to sample the new smoked meat selection and oh, man the flavor is out of this world. The Ribs, lean brisket and fatty brisket is insanely good. The servers are excellent and friendly. Lexi was so polite and proper. On a very busy day when the kitchen was very backed up 1-1.5 hours she made sure to make us aware of the wait we had in store. We really appreciated that attention and heads up. The lake front dining experience that is somehow unique to hideaway vs. others on Okauchee was worth the wait. The staff and other customers are so friendly and inviting. The Hideaway is a family run business done right. I ran into a hideaway bartender at Kwik Trip on a random day and asked how he liked working there since a family member was looking for a serving or bartender job. He told me how he has worked in the industry many years all across lake country and has never been as happy with the environment of the restaurant and bar industry as he is with working at The Hideaway.“
