“Have been going to Woody's since August 2021. Friendly staff, and great selections on the menu. Location is great for people who like to ride motorcycles, bicycles or car. Located on HWY 83 and routes to many other contry roads. My personal favorites are the burgers or cracked chicken. Everything is good no matter what you order.“

“We came in at like 7:20 and the guy who sat us was grumbly but the waiter absolutely saved the day he was so patient and all the waiters were great with the kids in our group. The food was great. “Don't be fooled by the name. I'm rating this for what it is, a basic dive bar restaurant and they do it well. Easy to find. Plenty of parking in the rear lot. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and it had a handful of locals there to eat and watch sports on one or more of the many TV's. Food was good, beer was cold and they were running several food specials. Bar tender was friendly as well as prompt. I will stop again when in the area.“

“Rox Bar & Grille is, hands down, our favorite place in Waukesha.

My wife Haley and I have been coming here since our second date, and it’s been our go-to spot ever since. As a gay couple, feeling truly welcome isn't always a given — but at Rox, we’ve always been treated like family. This place is inclusive, kind, and just plain awesome. Accepting of all views and beliefs regardless of what they are, without openly pushing beliefs onto you.

The staff? Absolutely legendary.

Julie is our bar mom. She's been cheering us on as a couple since day one, and we love her deeply. She truly cares about her customers, and it shows every time we see her.

Amanda is the ray of sunshine everyone needs. No matter the day, she lifts your spirits and keeps the energy high — all while being excellent at what she does.

Iris is no-nonsense and all heart. She's an absolute powerhouse behind the bar and clearly gives 110% every single shift.

Pano is the up-and-comer to watch. Friendly, driven, and already a star — he's the future face of Rox, no doubt (sorry Dino and Hari 😄). Oh, and yeah, he's young and handsome — bonus points!

Rosa is the definition of dependable. She treats her regulars like family and always seems to know exactly what you need before you say it.

Raoul is the man. Always welcoming, always cool — he treats us like we’re longtime friends, and that kind of warmth sticks with you.

Mandy? Mandy makes the sh*t run. Organized, sharp, and essential. Everyone needs a Mandy in their lives.

Dino and Hari — you’re the foundation of this whole place. Nothing more needs to be said — you two are just f***ing amazing.

Beyond the staff, Rox has everything: karaoke nights, live music (Ryan McIntyre on Thursdays is our fav!), darts, gambling machines, and killer drink specials.

The food? Wildly underrated. It’s high-quality across the board. The gyro pizza and gyro nachos are our top picks, but we also love the reubens, wings, spinach & artichoke dip with pita, turkey bacon wrap, crispy fries, and those perfectly extra crispy tots. Honestly, we could go on and on. And don’t forget — Spring City Restaurant is right next door and part of the same amazing family.

They also have an awesome variety of alcohol and great merch — yes, we proudly own Rox shirts!

We ordered chicken tenders and fries and it was great tasting and a healthy portion. Mom ordered the Italian sausage sandwich and I was impressed with this as well. “The kitchen at the hideaway puts out some excellent tasting seasonal dishes such as the short ribs. Toady I was able to sample the new smoked meat selection and oh, man the flavor is out of this world. The Ribs, lean brisket and fatty brisket is insanely good. The servers are excellent and friendly. Lexi was so polite and proper. On a very busy day when the kitchen was very backed up 1-1.5 hours she made sure to make us aware of the wait we had in store. We really appreciated that attention and heads up. The lake front dining experience that is somehow unique to hideaway vs. others on Okauchee was worth the wait. The staff and other customers are so friendly and inviting. The Hideaway is a family run business done right. I ran into a hideaway bartender at Kwik Trip on a random day and asked how he liked working there since a family member was looking for a serving or bartender job. He told me how he has worked in the industry many years all across lake country and has never been as happy with the environment of the restaurant and bar industry as he is with working at The Hideaway.“
