“Ordered 8 spicy garlic and 8 Cajun dry rub. Seasoned well and crispy. Nearly all the wings close to the bone had that purple marrow which adds a less desirable taste than without.”
“Every time i come here the employees are so courteous and kind. They do a great job serving customers when there's a line, and its busy, but also, if you are there close to close, they never act annoyed. They always maintain a high level of service. Great job to whomever does hiring for CJs!!”
“A long and storied history, and, while the name Bon Ton was not used until 1917, the building in which it is housed, has been a bakery since, at least, 1893. Overtime, many families have run this historic location. Done well in great various baking traditions I remember even coming here as a kid in the early 70's. For variety, get here early in the day.... most of their original donut recipes have easily been swooped up by 8-9am, especially thru the weekend. Various days call for making special breads or seasonal recipes so even call ahead to find out the latest. Couple of window side tables can early AM be occupied with coffee \donut crowd. A gem with great history for the Jefferson community.Vegetarian options: selected vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: call ahead with restrictions to find out moreParking: time of day can ebb and flo available close parking but close curbside is usually not too difficult. Sometimes across the street.”
“This bar is a small town atmosphere inside and out. It is hard to find these great bars. Staff is friendly, and the beer is cold. Anything on the menu is very good.”
“There are several dining establishments in this semi-rural county that I like but this one has a warmth and ambience that can’t be beat anywhere in Southern Wisconsin. The food is not fancy but always good. Today I stopped by for a solo lunch — spicy black bean burger with blue cheese, veggies and chips. There’s always at least one cold brew on tap that rounds out my food experience. Long tables accommodate groups or facilitate making new friends. Most of the time though I’m drawn in the evening for dinner and music. The back room has been known statewide and beyond for decades, as a (somewhat bohemian) destination for audiences and performers. The genre is often folk or singer-songwriter but ranges beyond. We’ll-known artists sometimes have the Carpe on their calendar. Owner/chef/performer Bill Camplin delivers witty introductions for the acts when not performing himself. Sign up early with Kitty for a choice seat. Music lovers owe themselves a visit to this casual and intimate establishment.”
“Great place to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch.Parking: Easily accessible lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to navigate once inside. You will need assistance getting in the doors.”
“The service was great, good location in downtown Palmyra. Sausage soup was delicious. The fish fry was good/ average as far as WI fish fry goes. Fried cod was very good, potatoes pancakes were so so.”
“Grumbshfunsbg! Sorry, had BBQ on my fingers. This place...incredibly tasty. The brisket nachos are seriously an event. Try the brisket you will NOT be disappointed. The cornbread...will not disappoint!”
“Stopped in with friends to have a fish fry! Loved the potato pancake! Deep fried mushrooms were huge and tasty... batter dipped. That appetizer is good for a party of four! Classic Wisconsin! Loved the tall, old-fashioned cocktails, too!”
“No matter if your new to sushi or it’s your favorite food I highly recommend 99 sushi. This is the absolute best place to grab a quick, perfected Japanese roll. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is more personable then any other restaurant around! Love coming here with my friends and family 10/10 would recommend!”
“Best pizza, lasagna & garlic bread around Jefferson County. But worth the drive from farther out. Call ahead & pick it up hot. No dining inside- take out.”
“There have excellent food, plenty of beer choices, and service is top notch. I was abit worried when I saw all tbe cars, and they have a good amount of room to eat, without bumping into the next table.”
“Had more fun at Dig-N-Kat's than I've had in a long time. Great people, great atmosphere and biker friendly... Awesome, get away from it all establishment. A must visit when in "Rome" (Wisconsin)”
“Pete is a really nice guy! He makes sure you are well taken care of and is great to have a conversation with. The pizza and the Italian beef sandwich are worth every penny! The drinks are made quick and are delicious. The crowd was very friendly and welcoming. Will be back many times in the future.”
“Paddy's never disappoints! The food is always consistent, as is there service. Come for a quick bite, a drink or simply just for a lovely dinner with friends and family! If I had to recommend one dish, it would definitely be the cheesecurds and pickle grilled cheese! Don't knock it until you try it.”

“After leaving Church Friday am, we went to grab a drink prior to our ride our home. The drive thru line had 3 cars ahead of us. It was moving quickly. We ordered 3 drinks plus 2 breakfast sandwiches and made our way to the widow. We probably waited less than 2 minutes for our order. It was very fast. I commented, "fastest Starbucks I have ever been too" and I have been to a bunch throughout the Midwest. The order was correct, the drinks tasted great ( 2 coffee types and 1 Frappuccino ). My wife commented, " Hey you should write a yelp review, cuz they were excellent". So here we are. Great service on this day.”
“This is the kind of place u go if u want to hang with the locals. Friendly staff. Interesting and historical looking building with a lovely porch overlooking the water.”
“No food except chips, and a pizza... Beth, the bartender is super knowledgeable about the spirits sold!! and, prompt!!Parking: You just pull up on an angle to park in front of the bar.”
“I love this bar, it always feels like home. The owner is amazing such a great woman, we need more establishments like this. This is the only place I go when I do go out.”
“I haven't eaten anything here however, the coffee and tea is very good. Tanning is pretty good too. Some bulbs appear burned out and aren't changed promptly, however I have never owned a Tanning business. Maybe that's normal. I don't feel it's fair to compare this business to the bigger business I have used, so for a small town like this, I feel fortunate to be able to help support them!”
“My wife and I went to Scottie’s randomly one morning our kids were in school. We’ve now made it our regular breakfast spot. The food is fantastic and the price can’t be beat.”
“Such a cool low key place! The range of different drinks and alcohol is very impressive! They have some very nice bourbon choices that are hard to get. The bar is immaculate! The staff was so friendly and we enjoyed hanging out with them for a little bit. Can't wait to show my friends this spot for my bday weekend!”
“Their broasted chicken is the best anywhere and you just cannot beat the value. I've been eating there for over a decade and I've never had a bad meal there.Updated 6 years after the original review: the above is still true. The food is consistently excellent and the price is great for the amount of food you get. We dined in tonight (we often get takeout) and I appreciate the little signs they have on their tables that remind folks to be graceful about delays when they're short staffed. It says they support their staff and as someone in a service industry myself, I really appreciate that.”
“The spiced Chia latte is the best in the area!! (And trust me, I've tried quite a few.) I usually go through the drive thru but went inside last time, the space is so quaint and cozy. It gave me warm coffeehouse vibes immediately.”
“I had breakfast, a Denver skillet with raisin toast. Absolutely delicious! My waitress was very nice and attentive. Friendly atmosphere with delicious food and I can see why it’s a favorite for locals!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking available. No steps to get into restaurant.”
“Food is delish, waitresses are friendly!!! Serving Sizes are the best around. You will not leave hungry!!Vegetarian options: They have amazing salads, a large salad easily feed 2. They also have a pasta option with no meat.Parking: Small parking lot with street parking available. It can fill up fast.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, plus they have whipped cream for pancakes and hot cocoa.”
“Great local bar. Friendly people, quick service. Also, "standard" rural bar prices. Further good food specials. Prime rib Thursday is great, get there early or they sell out at times.”
