“Great beer! Amazing pizza! Wonderful staff! We stopped in on a Sunday with our kids for pizza. We had a mild hiccup with our order but the staff was quick to resolve the issue, so good that I even hesitated to say anything. The whole experience was great. We got to hang out in a super chill environment, enjoy their made in house sodas and beer, eat the yummiest pizzas made with the meats made by them and felt so welcomed the whole time.We look forward to returning and bringing friends with us next time.“

“I went here with Debra R, Jose R and a couple of people a few days ago. I had the breakfast ale. Debra R had a stout beer. The other people had a stout and a light color beer. I also got a cute hat. The beer was good and the service was good too. The place has some cool pinball machines and an industrial ambiance that I enjoyed.“

Cracked Barrel Winery Wineries •
570 Coulee Trail, Hudson

“I had no idea this winery existed prior to our visit. We stopped in on a Saturday as soon as they opened. Due to being the first ones there we had the whole place to ourselves. The place was small, but charming and the staff were very friendly. We opted with the sampler, and I loved that we got to pick what we wanted to try. Not every winery let's you select your tasting. We picked a couple of whites, a rose and some reds. Overall I wasn't a huge fan of any of them- but I like very sweet wine and well cocktails lol. My husband on the other hand ended up getting two bottles of white wine so clearly my tastebuds are off. We had a fun time visiting the winery and I think we would stop back if we are ever in the area again. The whole thing took maybe 30 minutes and was a great way to start our weekend!“

“I ordered a Spotted Cow, as soon as the gal had time. I get annoyed when the bartender is messing with anything but serving food, booze or money transactions. I have no idea what she was doing to have taken so long to ask for the beer and a menu. I was famished. I ordered from a young man and asked which he recommended, the steak sandwich or burgers, he said burger. I ordered the $17.00 Forager Smash with onion rings. The sauce was funky tasting “mayonnaise truffle” and the burger a little too well done and dried out for my taste. I asked for medium rare and expected a juicy burger. Ya, for $17 bucks I want what I ask for! When I am famished almost anything tastes good, but not this. I am no expert on truffle mayo, so maybe that threw me off. If it was made wrong or spoiled, I wouldn’t know the difference, but I won’t order that again. One man band was pretty good playing his guitar and singing. If I had money to lose, I may have gambled or bought some pull tabs.I will go back for a weekend eve with my adult kids, and think they’ll like the vibe. The bar area appears mostly clean, but I didn’t walk around to see everything or use the restroom. There are two levels and I had a view of the St Croix River, the one man band, and everyone coming in and going out. I liked my seat at the bar choice a lot!The bill came and I added a 23% tip, but only the meal portion appeared to be deducted from my bank account. Not sure what happened there, but will definitely be back and make up for that soon.I’m gonna try the steak sandwich next time! Sit in the same spot! Appreciate the atmosphere and local hospitality! All good for going in too hungry 4*s all day long and hoping to give them 5* on my next experience ?️?“

“LOVE the Key's in Hudson! Last week I ordered a Valentine Chocolate House Cake and it was amazing (as it has been EVERY year that I've ordered one since they started offering these cakes!). Today I dined in with a friend and I had the new Corned Beef Benny and it was amazing+. Our server was attentive and the coffee kept coming. We were catching up and did not feel pressured to quickly leave the minute we were done with our meals. I have been to other Key's locations and while all are good . . . The Hudson Key's is the BEST!“

“Nelson's Ice Cream is the best ice cream shop in the Twin Cities, and probably the best Ice cream shop that I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I am a huge ice cream lover, and I was blown away by how many different flavors of ice cream that are available from Nelson's. Dozens of great unique flavors to choose from. You can purchase ice cream to eat right then and there in cones, waffle cones, or a cup, and they also sell it by the pint to bring home. Blueberry cheesecake is my personal favorite.“

Rush River Brewing Company Brewery • $

“I don't get out here every Sunday like I used to but even though I haven't been in in a couple few months... today beertender Carla cheerily greeted me like I was just in. We both laughed as we remembered one another but neither of recalled the other's name. Unfortunately the potential weekend with owner Nick or brewer Brett have become more rare.... but the possibility is always worth it. On one of the last Saturday encounters w brewer Brett we discussed his and hoppy beers. After he walked away.... panic set it!! When he returned I said: you realize I wasn't insulting your beers, correct?! Brett politely replied: no, it's a style you don't like. Relief!!During our discussion I asked his input while I tasted through his IPA's. Despite not being an IPA fan, which the majority here are approachable. I can't think of a beer I've ever had here I didn't like! Let's talk bottle releases... over the years the prices have remained... a very affordable $15 a bottle or two for $25! I always get two; one to drink now and the other to stash in my cellar. As a sour fan, the annual Berliner Bash in June is a not miss event!! The annual PRIDE beer release is always a great time too, this past year I chatted up the brewer about the ingredients and how much it took of everything to get the beer he wanted and why he had to separate out the edible glitter he wanted to put in the beer. The past two years the brewery has done a beer deal... a shirt, sunglasses and a beer for a great value! I appreciate that the tap list lists the beer name, ABV and price for each size pour. I always tend to sit at the bar inside but they also have several picnic tables. There is also a tv if you want to catch a game. They often have little markets inside for local shopping and often has live music at night. There is a small parking lot next to a few pergola covered picnic tables. You can usually park in the cul-de-sac. Several patrons come in off the bike trail. If I drive all this way for a beer I tend to only have a few so that I can push on to downtown to Swinging Bridge. There is a to-go cooler of bottles and crowlers near the end of the west side of the bar. Last year I wanted to get a mix six pack as a gift, beer tender Erica was fantastic wit the assist. The customers here are just as fantastic & friendly as the beertenders...as I have run in to several of the same people on my random stops in. You're about to read the quirkiest thing I have ever posted in a review... Rush River has the SOFTEST toilet tissue!! Weird?! I know but I promise you. Rush River not only has deliciously great beers on the regular; they frequently do special releases. On occasion the beertender will put out bowls of pretzels, or Cheetos, or cheez-its. Rush River is everything you could hope for in a brewery. Thanks Rush River for consistently having friendly beeertenders pour delicious beer in a comfortable tap room, cheers!“

“Updating to 5 stars as they very quickly added a changing table after I posted my review. Appreciate you guys for being so customer friendly. Thanks!!***Please provide a changing table in the restroom. The beer was okay. The fact that they had other drinks (such as mules) was nice, trivia is good, glad they had a food truck. But, there was plenty of other people with infants there as well. Changing tables are a basic courtesy. We can't take babies outside in winter to change them.“

“Came here for a quick breakfast and this is such a cute little find! There's a small patio out front where lots of people were enjoying their breakfast. The girls working the counter were kind and efficient - everyone got what they ordered pretty quickly!I ordered a maple spice cold brew with almond milk. It was so hard to choose a flavor with all they offer - but this definitely gave me the fall feel I was craving. I also ordered a piece of the chocolate banana friend for my boyfriend and the bite I took was also delicious. For breakfast I ordered the bacon egg & cheese sandwich which is a panini on brioche bread. This was tasty but since it was smushed in a panini press it seemed a little small and not as filling and I thought.Overall, great place and definitely recommend the coffee and pastries!“
