The treats we bought were delicious and we even got a few moments meeting Jen, who is as wonderful in person as she seemed while we were watching her compete on The Food Network competitions. In fact while she was chatting with us, she offered us an amazing free sample of a new entremet she was working on in the back. If you are looking for an amazing treat for a special occasion or even just for yourself, I recommend a stop at Meringue Bakery!“
“This not a review for any particular store.I usually get good, fast and friendly service from your employees wherever I go.My review is about a specific bakery item: your frosted, boxed cinnamon rolls. This is my experience for the past 7+ years!I LOVED your cinnamon rolls! Then one day they were being made with (in my opinion) WAY TOO MUCH cinnamon. The balance between the sweet and cinnamon became a mouthful of an overpowering cinnamon flavor. It was like I shook straight cinnamon from a spice container. I noticed the darker brown on the top of the rolls the same time the flavor had changed.I’m wondering who increased the amount of cinnamon, and why did they mess with a good thing?Will you consider going back to how they were made several years back?I’ve wanted to share this with KT for the longest time, but was never quite sure how to contact the people who would care. Have other people commented on this?Cinnamon doesn’t taste better when its balance with the sweet changes,“
“Im very form on this. Kwik trip use to be the only gas station I would go to. Now since Covid I’m very disappointed. When Covid first started the staff were amazing at Kwik Trip. Not so much now. Gone to the one on St.Paul and the manager has his mask around his chin and at least 3-4 ppl without masks. Don’t put a sign on your door masks are mandatory if you are not going to enforce it and if the manager himself cannot wear it properly. Start following the law the Governor put in place.“
“I'm giving this location 4 stars for several reasons: The cosmetics section isn't on lockdown like it is where I'm from. Where I'm at, even the common body sprays are locked up and you can never find anyone to unlock the case. No problem at this location. The gluten free section at this store isn't super, but they have one and it's easy to find. They also have a decent selection of non-dairy frozen treats. And finally, it's clean and the staff I encountered were friendly. Anyone complaining about this location ought to experience the ones out west in AZ and NV.“
“This is bakery is such a treat! The items are on the savory side a lot of times, and make for a cozy breakfast item on a weekend morning! I love the focaccia options that they have and are very filling. I once had a corn filled based bakery item that I still dream of! This is not a typical, pick up a stereotypical donut style place, but a tasting experience I look forward to. I enjoy the rotating menu as well. Highly recommend!“
“You walk in and it smells like heaven everytime..Amazing baked goods. Amazing coffee! Amazing smoothies (regular and i had the berries and cream protein smoothie amazing could of finished it before making it out of town. Friendly service dont mind answering questions about coffees and baked good! All together great place.“
“What a wonderful meal and time we had at Perkins on Sunday. They were busy but didn’t miss a beat. We were seated within a minute and we ordered our food and it came out hot and delicious. Our server was awesome. Although they were busy they never stopped smiling and enjoying themselves. I will certainly be back.“
“We were looking for a new breakfast place to try in La Crosse and stumbled upon this one with a simple Google search. I have to say, I rarely give reviews but this one deserves a good one! From the minute we stepped in the door to the very end of our meal, we were treated like family! The staff were incredibly friendly. The coffee was so smooth, I had to ask the waitress where they get their coffee beans from. I ate the kimchi toast with an egg and a side salad, my husband had the breakfast hash with egg and potatoes, and our son had the French toast. I would highly recommend all of these meals (because I tried them all) to anyone who's looking for a gourmet breakfast in this area! We usually go to La Crosse Family Restaurant, but the DAMN Tasty is like 10 notches above this one! At the end of our meal, we took some smoothies to-go, and they were also delicious!! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our 4 year old son, and we sat in a booth. He enjoyed seeing the baked goods and the beautiful plants on the shelf. The kids menu had the perfect kid choices on them, especially for our picky eater!“
