107 State is a downtown restaurant on State St, near the Capitol Square. The dining atmosphere is rustic and warm with woodwork and stone. The cool jazz music and booths make it easy to converse without much noise. The bread is crunchy and warm, the roasted mushroom crostini is sweet and chewy. The salmon is crunchy outside and moist inside with a flavorful garlic lemon sauce. The shrimp scampi is tasty but heavy on garlic. The Bliss Burger is juicy and the Ziti with Ragu is hearty and tender. The fries are like McDonald's but less salty. The service is friendly and attentive, with tempting dessert options. A great find with horrible signage but excellent food, cozy ambiance, and fantastic service.
