OK, maybe this year you can’t go to some far away fabulous paradise Island but that’s OK because look right here in Madison is the next best thing!
The Paradise Lounge is an absolute great dive bar. That is just wonderful great bartenders - and inviting atmosphere and great conversation
10/10 recommend if you're looking for a chill spot to unwind and hang with some pretty amazing locals. We're visiting from Panama City, FL for Canoecopia and absolutely loved the time we spent at The Paradise Lounge. Steve was not only a great bartender, he really made us feel at home. Midwestern charm at its finest! He also gave us lots of great recommendations to keep us busy during the downtime on our trip. We'll definitely be stopping back in before we head home.

Paradise Lounge is a classic dive bar offering a refreshing trip to the past. The diverse crowd is welcoming, and the staff is generally awesome. The food at Paradise Lounge is amazing, with the Brocci Bites being a standout dish. Customers have reported seeing more guns outside the bar than at a gun show, and there have been instances of a large Samoan man becoming aggressively angry at the sight of a customer bringing in a female companion. Paradise Lounge is considered the best dive bar in the capital of Wisconsin's tavern culture, offering food, pool, darts, and fooseball. Paradise is one of those Madison institutions that has aged well and is still going strong. It offers great food and good atmosphere, with a hard-working staff. It is the best bar in town, hands down. Come as you are. Pool, electronic darts, juke, and great food prepared right in front of you. The rest are just fake hipster BS! It is a super fun divey bar on the best row of bars downtown. Free pool, $6 pitchers of High Life and PBR. Very chill bartenders and a DL vibe to the place. It's kind of dimly lit, which can be fun. The food is really good and made to order pretty quickly. This is a go-to downtown bar because it's unpretentious and chill.
