“I was on a snowmobile trip with a group of friends and we stopped in for a warm up and a drink. The Bloody Mary's were delicious! Great prices and wonderful staff. If memory serves me right it's cash only at this bar but they do have an ATM inside so it's not an issue at all. Looking forward to stopping here again next season!“

“I spent more afternoons and evenings than I cared to admit hanging out in this bar. The owner (at the time, Tom) was a good friend. This was from the mid 80's through the early 90's, (yes, I just dated myself.) Times were different then and 'The Den' was a gathering place for locals; we looked out for each other. We knew that no matter what was going on in our lives, when we walked in the door, we were 'family'. Tom usually had coffee on in the morning, and he was always telling jokes. He made sure that you were laughing or at least smiling before you left. He had the ability to read people, knowing when things were off... I was sad to hear of his passing; however, I know that he would be pleased knowing that it is still here and still bringing smiles to those who enter. Thank you to the current owner(s) for keeping his dream alive and for keeping the atmosphere of being a local icon for the working folks who might have dirt on their boots, sweat on their brow, and just looking for a cold beer without breaking the bank!
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to stopping by the next time I'm in the area. Laughing and reminiscing while having a cold one! If those walls could talk... maybe it's best that they can't 🤭🤣“

“Totally forgot to post about my experience until now. I went to visit during my Christmas vacation & had lost my phone while out with my girlfriends. I had a flight to go back to Florida at the end of the week and Tori personally went out on Christmas Day to drop off my phone at another bar that was open so that I can get my phone back before my flight. She was so sweet to do so and I’ll forever be appreciative of her taking the time to help me!“

“This bar is one of the most influential bars in the town of Menomonie, it's like a moth to a flame to any college kid. They have great bartenders, most notably Rachel, who keeps up with the crowd while holding a conversation with others.“

“The Fish is Perfectly Crispy on the outside and succulently Juicy on the inside. The steak is huge and done to perfection, loved the baked potato with butter & a little ranch dressing on top. Staff gave us a warm greeting and the order came fast.

“My son and I ate here yesterday-Sunday, April 23rd. We were greeted right away when we walked in……found our table to sit and the bartender/waitress was right over to take our order. We ordered the bone in chicken wings and oh-so tasty! I had the olive burger-YUMMY and my son had the Philly sandwich and he said it was tasty as well! Our beer never ran dry…..the food was hot and delicious! We will be back for sure to sample something else on the menu!!“

“We love trying new restaurants but in the past 6 months since we first tried Jake’s, we’ve returned 5 times! That really sums up our love for it ! Prime rib is great, the walleye is amazing ! It’s a standard type of Friday night fish but the land/sea combo option with a smaller prime rib portion is nice when you can’t choose ! The Jameson Orange old fashion is very yummy too! John and Tali are both awesome servers and it’s evident they really enjoy working there! We’ve also never had to wait for a table which is such a perk“

“I've come here a few times since I moved to the area and have never had a bad experience. The food, especially the burgers that I have had, are always better than I expect. They have two pool tables, a dart board, maybe two, and a jukebox. I haven't taken advantage of the outdoor area but that looks nice also. This place deserves to be successful. Check it out next time you are in the area“

“This place was great. We showed up with 30 people while in town for a tournament. Very accommodating, friendly, fast, and the food was delicious! We would HIGHLY recommend this place so much we all came back the next day and did it all again!“
