“Normally we have good luck at the Chancery. Not the case yesterday. I went with my six year old, clearly a “kid” but the seating host didn’t give us a kids menu. I had to go ask for one. I ordered the California wrap with no onions or avocado because I have some food sensitivities. It came with no onions or tomato. I didn’t realize this until I was about halfway through eating it. Thankfully it’s just sensitivity and not an allergy. The cheese on my son’s grilled cheese was barely melted. I could clearly see where each slice of cheese was placed. When the server brought our bill, he did not bring a pen to sign my slip. A bunch of little things but they added up. Hopefully our next experience will be better.“

“Absolutely amazing first experience. My wife and I had an early dinner there. We had the crab cakes and calamari ( today's daily appetizer special) as appetizer. Absolutely incredible. Great sauces and flavor combinations. Layers of flavor. We ordered the ribeye and the crusted flounder ( another special). The ribeye was juicy, depths of flavor, tender. Topped with sautéed mushrooms and haystack onions. Cooked to perfection. And the au jus was spectacular and tied everything together so well. Au gratin potatoes were a perfect pairing. Even the carrots made you say "wow". The flounder was light and had great flavors. Homemade honey Dijon tartar was a perfect match for the flounder. Oddly enough, the cucumber and tomato salad that topped the fish really tied it all together and made for one amazing bite. Even though we were stuffed, we left just enough room to have dessert.. As someone who is not a dessert fan, their homemade peach cobbler pastry with homemade cinnamon ice cream ( another special) was fantastic. Katie, our server was extremely kind and attentive and her input on dishes was very much appreciated. The fact that the servers get to try daily specials, you can watch the chefs prepare the meal if you sit at the "bar" by the kitchen, and the laughter coming from the kitchen, really iced the cake! “My partner and I were on an overnight to the Milwaukee area and stopped in here for breakfast. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant layout was open and airy. We were greeted and seated promptly, and coffee and water appeared before we even had a chance to ask for it. We ordered our meals, and to our surprise our food arrives within minutes, even on a busy weekend morning. The food was delicious, and the server brought us some sort of cinnamon cake that was also amazing.
We don't travel through that area often, but Maxim's is now our go-to spot!“

“Once and Done ! We made (quite) a trip to experience Le's Pho bc of the glowing reviews it had rec'd on this site. So sorry to say we were sorely disappointed. The place was uninviting even for a cafeteria, incl. flies and a messy toilet with reams of boxes stored in the hallway. At Noon hour there was just one waitress who pretended to barely notice us and hardly spoke English. The menu showed huge mark-ups from prior prices still visible beneath. As appetizer we ordered the butterfly calamary ($12) which we both love, though not these which were full of chunks of empty breading. The Claypot Seafood ($15) was a large bowl of steamed vegetables containing almost no seafood; asides were bamboo shoots and a mountain of steamed rice. The Pho Steak Brisket ($13) was a large vegetable terrine with thinly sliced meat slivers as tasteless as tough strips of leather. The vegetable stew and broth actually tasted fine, but we were missing the seafood and steak brisket advertised on the menu. Though cost was not the issue, we still felt the $60 tab was overpriced for the all around sorry experience.“

“This is a wonderful little Homestead farmhouse that has been converted to a small restaurant and bar. My wife, our son and his girlfriend, and our daughter stopped by on a Saturday around 4:30 PM. We waited at the bar for a bit over a half hour. Lovely atmosphere, friendly servers and bartenders, and great food. There are zero reservations, just swing by and wait for a table. I ordered the special steak for the day, my wife ordered the Rosemary Chicken. I tried a bite of hers and the flavors were excellent! My steak was perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back again.“

“We attended a family wedding at Milwaukee Ale House on 10/5/24. The party staff was AMAZING. They were professional, attentive, and kept things running smoothly. Sue the coordinator is top notch. She met us the morning of the wedding so that we could set out centerpieces and other decorations. She has great ideas and is super easy to work with, she definitely knows what she is talking about. Jason the bartender makes amazing drinks and is very creative, the best drinks I've had in a long time. Jason also was a pro at handling a guest that had too much to drink, he sensed it and dealt with it in a way that did not embarrass the guest at all. Jamie was working that night as well, she is organized, fast and handled some last minute table changes without a complaint. Sue, Jason and Jamie were wonderful and deserve a pay increase for the services they provide, I am sure they are not making what they deserve. It's not often you come across such hard working individuals and it was truly a pleasure. I will not hesitate to recommend the Milwaukee Ale House to anyone that is looking for a wedding/party venue.“

They delivered and set everything up on time. The hot food was hot, and the cold foods were cold. Everything tasted so good! Many people asked who our caterer was and we happily told them! “Since moving to the Falls in 2012, I began looking for the best Chinese food in the area, almost stumbled upon Chens restaurant while picking up mail at the Post Office. Even though they no longer had an open dining room due to Covid protocols, I did take that chance and ordered takeout. Oh, what a happy day! The ordered items were not only hot, fresh and plentiful, they were truly delicious! The staff there led by Simon, have always been a joy to interact with always attentive, and cheerful. Crispy, juicy and hot - served on a toasted brioche bun with fresh lettuce, tomato and a creamy mayonnaise. The Kettle Chips were perfect. Good price and great service.
