“I moved to this area about a year ago and have finally experienced this wonderful little local gem! It is a breakfast spot only and it is always packed! They close at 1 PM everyday. I have been wanting to go in there but never am I there early enough to get a table without waiting even though i'm sure it is worth the wait!I have had take out their 4 or 5 times now and it is so delicious-- just like home cooking!I don't think you can go wrong with anything there. I've had their omelets, I've had their breakfast sandwiches I've had their skillets and those pecan rolls are to die for! They have quite the bakery and I'm afraid to try to sample everything so for now i'm sticking with the pecan rolls! If any management or ownership are reading this, I would like to make one suggestion as far as an item I'd love to see you add in terms of bakery items. I'm sure would be a hit- Instead of strawberry rhubarb, try raspberry and rhubarb! I'm actually surprised at how many places don't have it on their menu and always have the strawberry. I promise you, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the raspberry and rhubarb combination. Strawberry, I've always feel overpowers the rhubarb whereas the raspberry compliments the rhubarb nicely! Just need a little added sugar to tone down the tartness.I used to go to the diner in Verona, which I think is as good although they don't have the bakery. But now this is so much closer. So for the most part, I'll be enjoying my breakfasts here at C's!Thank you so much forThe awesome service in the great food!“
“I basically come here for the morning buns. I feel Clasen's has the best morning buns in Dane County. Their other baked goods are fine, but I think there are better options. Pricey, but then again, every independent bakery in the area is.“
“Amazing nitro cold brew, both in taste and how it makes you feel. We did the rare thing and went inside instead of the drive-through, and the guy at the counter was amazing, and the music was great in this cute little place with just a couple tables.“
“I absolutely love this place! Last year when I moved to Madison, I discovered this place while waiting for a table at Ha Long Bay and I have been obsessed ever since. Although a bit on the pricy side, the pastries are absolutely phenomenal and definitely some of the best I've had. I love the Gruyère croissant, the mini butter cakes with lemon curd and raspberry white chocolate, and the raspberry frangipane. The breads are also amazing. Highly recommend the scali loaf and if you happen to go on a Friday, the challah is amazing!“
“Nothing beats a paper bag full of assorted pan dulce from El Hornito. We make a point to stop in whenever we're in the area and are never disappointed. They have a wide assortment of classic Mexican baked goods, supplemented with more traditionally European sweets such as frosted cupcakes and chocolate croissants. Everything is fresh and flavorful, from their surprisingly tender conchas to their unparalleled besos. The service is very friendly and you can tell the owners take immense pride in their work. All in all, a much-welcome addition to the Far West Side.“
“Always friendly, very clean space. Good vegan dessert options (the twix bars are my favorite). Tons of GF & keto options as well. The price you pay is well worth the quality you receive. I would upload a picture, but the dessert is gone already!Vegetarian options: Look on the website, I’m vegan and they have a few options for us and all of them are DELICIOUS!Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gf, paleo, keto“
“We got the Banana Hazelnut Crunch for our 2 year old’s birthday party and it was amazing! Everyone loved it! They were also very helpful when I wanted to make sure I would have space for my topper and when I asked for chocolate drizzle.I will definitely be ordering from here again ❤️“
“Doughnuts are amazing. My family showed up on Friday night after getting some pizza. The workers there, a husband wife combo, were amazing. Not only were the doughnuts amazing, the workers laughed and joked with my 4 year old son. Showing him all the doughnuts they had in stock. They even gave us 2 free doughnuts to take home for tomorrow. I will be buying all doughnuts from here from now on. 10/10“
“So good, I went to both of their locations! I highly recommend putting in a preorder especially if you plan on stopping by on a weekend because a line forms quickly. If you're getting a deli item or a drink, they won't start making the order until you send a text letting them know you're on your way. I appreciate this method so that you receive your food fresh! The homegrown biscuit sandwich was a little salty but interesting combination of ingredients! I like the shake up from the traditional bacon egg and cheese. I got my sandwich gluten free (amazing biscuit that didn't immediately crumble and break apart in my hand) and with an egg (best choice I made that day). The raspberry almond tart/pie was a little too sweet for me, but the gluten free orange cherry scone was so good, I got it twice. Orange forward, couldn't really taste the cherry. I love that they have a dedicated display case for gluten free options just to minimize cross contamination and so that people don't have to search through all the goodies to find the gf treats.“
“So excited to have you in the Fordem ave neighborhood! I had a hard time choosing what to get and asked for recommendations from the super friendly staff behind the counter. They recommended the raspberry gallette and the kouign amman. I had to try both of course and they were absolutely incredible!!! Already planning my next visit!“
“I recently stopped at the Lakeside when I was in Madison. This is a great coffee shop! Gorgeous views, lots of space. My yogurt and granola bowl was awesome and super filling. I wish we would have tried baked goods, but they were sold out! I would highly recommend coming here to meet a friend or to study.“
“One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! Had the chicken tikka masala one today, was awesome! I do like they wrap it in foil, because my 40min drive home it's still warm!“
“I love the remodel of the interior and the new cafe in this building! The makeover is modern and bright with plenty of seating options. I’ve made the trip to Verona a couple times just for their coffee and it’s always worth it. The have great local pastries and their espresso is perfect.“
“My personal experience with Crumbl cookie staff was really good. They were very kind and polite to me. They speak to me in a very kind way, and I love that because most people they speak to me very disrespectful the food, the cookies they are always so good so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside that’s what I love about Crumbl cookies they’re cookies are always extravagant, and always a mystery the atmosphere I feel like when I go into the store the Crumbl cookie store I feel like it like the atmosphere and the Crumbl cookie shop. It brings me so much joy and it’s really nicely decorated.Kid-friendliness: They are always very kind and very friendly inappropriate. It just brings me so much joy to be cheated respectfully.“
“We got their baguette, signature sourdough batard, carrot cake and roast beef sandwich. I would say their breads are good but too crunchy to the point it is hard to eat. The roast beef sandwich was delicious but I wished they would toast it. Then again, their breads were too rustic and crunchy. Toasting it would be hard to consume and enjoy the sandwich. Now, moving for the desserts, the carrot cake was good and not overly sweet. Wished it had some nuts, raisins and carrots inside the cake. Overall, it has a lot of potentials, just wish the breads were not too crunchy.“
“We were on vacation and we were not leaving Wisconsin without mapping and getting to Stella’s! Seriously the best breads and pastries we have ever had… The cheese bread is the absolute best!!! The customer service was exceptional and very helpful! Now we just need to get one in Indiana!“
“I’d confidently say this is the best bread bakery in Madison. Their breads made with such craftsmanship that you can eat the bread without anything and it is delicious! Thank you team Origin Bread for spoiling us with such quality work and ingredients. So so good! The staff is so warm, welcoming and friendly. Love their products.“
“The Bundt cakes are delicious ! We recently picked up a couple dozen of the smallest size for a casual get together and they were a big hit. Next time we will probably get more so people can taste a couple different varieties. They were fresh and so tasty!“
“After having several menu items I can say that this place is absolutely wonderful! The red bean bun is delicious, the shrimp fried rice is delicious. Everything I've had here has been great. If you're putting off going, give it a try when you can! It's really good :)“
“Rolling Pin worked with us to do a mini dessert bar at our wedding. They were so professional and easy to work with! They even surprised us by making the cake cups we had ordered in edible chocolate cups! The desserts were so amazing, we only had two small boxes of leftovers for a wedding of 80 people, and even those were snatched up at the farewell brunch. If you're planning your wedding and want something other than wedding cake, reach out to Rolling Pin!Photo Credit: The Keel Collective“
“Everything I have tried has been incredible, delicious and inventive. Second Breakfast offers monthly subscription boxes, with a few baked items, along with pop ups at local farmers markets. I really love the seasonal flavors and the variety that is offered. Each box or season comes new and tasty items to try. It's always fun to see what's baking and what's next to try!“
“Cheese bread was great, boba tea was great… the COOKIES were the best cookies I’ve ever had. I visited Madison from Chicago and I am sad I don’t live closer to this place bc I keep thinking about that cookie from 2 weeks ago. I don’t even normally like chocolate chip cookies.“
“Absolutely love this coffee and the atmosphere in this place. I would highly recommend this place for the most delicious coffee in Madison and potentially on my top 5 in the nation (I travel for work). It's so very cute and clean inside the shop. Most all of the workers are very friendly too! The breakfast bagel sandwich is also to die for. I do miss their full meal menu, but the pastries are delicious when I need a pick-me-up. I'm a regular visitor and come in at least twice a week as well as consuming their coffee at home! However, the downfall is their loyalty program... after 10 stamps (separate visit purchase trips) I only get $2 off??????? It's quite ridiculous for the amount of money I spend there that makes myself and others reconsider going there when on a budget. I would love for them to at least make it $5 or a free coffee. $2 will not even buy a regular coffee nowadays.Beyond that Wonderstate is amazing and I highly recommend you check them out“
“Fantastic bakery and breakfast menu, quinticential diner feel in an old house! Great coffee and pastries, great vegan options, too!Vegetarian options: Every meat option food has at least one vegan or vegetarian option, three or four types protein offered. Super place to enjoy a meal with friends.“
“I ordered a cake from Miggy’s for my UW junior’s 21st birthday because I’m out of state. I wanted a custom off-list cake for her and Shelby was fantastic. The cake (succulents with little vodka bottles) was adorable. And Shelby coordinated with her for delivery. So thankful for the personal touch!“
