I would give Cavas more than 5 stars if I could. Everything from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere was excellent (emphasis on how good the food was). The couple who runs the restaurant are lovely and go above and beyond in every aspect of the meal. We got the 7 course tasting menu and wine, and it was absolutely delicious. If I could only go to one restaurant in Milwaukee again, it would be here.
Chef Ana and husband Peter were warm and engaging and make a great team. The intimate limited-table restuarant almost feels like a small dinner party. The food was fabulous - we savored each of the 7 courses, paired well with wines - and presented beautifully. The dessert was memorable and we begged for a extra serving of flan - which was delivered with a smile and an explanation of Chef Ana's own flavoring twist and preparation! Our third of hopefully many more visits!
There is no other place like this in Milwaukee. Chef Anna and Peter provide an incomparable dining experience. The food and service are excellent, perfect for a special occasion.
