Went to botanas on south 5th they were so ruuudeee!!! We left IMMEDIATELY! Came to el besos (where we should’ve come in the first place) and Anelee took GREAT care of us!!!! Ask for Anelee when you go! 😉
Amazing experience at El Beso! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service was outstanding. A special shoutout to Luis for being friendly, attentive, and making our visit even better. Highly recommend El Beso, and definitely will be coming back!

El Beso Mexican Restaurante & Cantina at the Gateway to Milwaukee is a must visit. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, and the food is top-notch legit. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and bright, with a cascade water feature and friendly fish that like to be pet. It is a great place for families interested in decent Mexican food at a decent price, with easy parking. The chips and salsa are delicious. Customer service is amazing, with staff like Val being very attentive and helpful with drinks and the menu. The watermelon margaritas are great. However, some experiences vary. The food can be more authentic, but in general it is a good place. One visit featured mariachi music that was so loud for over 30 minutes it ruined a date night, making it impossible to hear. The tamales from here are some of the worst, being super dry with no filling and costing 18 dollars for three. A Quesadilla Ranchera was quite salty, and a chicken enchilada was fine but not exceptional. The fish and chips, ordered at a Mexican spot, were EXCELLENT. Do not walk, run to this amazing establishment.
