“The service was phenomenal from the moment we walked in the door! From the warm welcoming hostess, to the bubbly waitress, the cook staff and the bar staff making everything perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything better. We got exactly what we ordered and the atmosphere was so comfy and welcoming! Will definitely be coming back to try the pizza!! Highly recommend 👌“

“We have been to MPC many times, but this year after having to go Gluten Free for health reason I was worried I wasn’t going to get the same pizza I loved and enjoyed from here. I was so wrong!! The Gluten Free pizza was equally as amazing as all the other pizza I have come to love and enjoy here. Thank you!! It was so good!“

“Usually we try to avoid the tourist areas, we stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We’ve driven past for years but decided to stop. Very nice diner style restaurant with a clean well lit interior. Friendly staff greeted us quickly with some waters. Large portions at a great value. The Greek omelette was fantastic, I recommend the humus, it has an amazing flavor. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“

“Great little German bier garden in downtown Minocqua serving great traditional brats and sausages, Hacker Pschorr beer on tap and nice German Reisling wine were our choices today with a brisket burnt end sausage, brat with German potato salad. Service was great, so was the food.“

“We vacation in the Northwoods fall and winter, and "The Whale" is almost always our first stop when we hit town around Suppertime on our way into town. FIRST, our server Sophia, was wonderful...on the ball, quick, friendly. This year, we noticed a couple changes that we didn't care for. The problems were (1) we were there on a FRIDAY, and the "Friday Fish Fry Menu" doesn't give people many food choices if you don't want fish, shrimp, or clam chowder. I had my heart (and stomach) set on their DELICIOUS sandwiches that come with their home-made chips and Au Jus dip. There used to be at least TWO of those on the menu...they were no longer offered on Friday nights. (2) We opted for the Friday Fish Fry, and were asked if we wanted tarter sauce and/or a couple other choices. I said YES to regular Tarter, and my wife took that AND the Honey/Mustard. When our bill arrived, we found that we were CHARGED $0.75 for EACH of those. REALLY? I've never been to a place that didn't include a lemon slice and tarter sauce by default as a normal part of the fish-fry plate.“

“The pancakes are to die for. I’m not a fan of the atypical American pancake. Unfortunately, I’ve had too many experiences where the center is not cooked and it just repulses me. Lida’s pancakes are light and fluffy and about half as thick as an American pancake, they’re not crêpes. Sooooo good. Occasionally, they even run a special with flavored pancakes. Example Carrot Cake Pancakes! Highly recommend. Their avocado toast is the best I’ve had in the area. The Gyro, Steakhouse burger, strawberry chicken salad & BBQ Chicken wrap are also amazing. Be sure to ask for their signature sauce- it’s delicious. All waitstaff are friendly & efficient. Kitchen staff does their best to get the orders out quickly, even when the place is packed. Outdoor dining area is lovely. And if you’re lucky you might be joined by the local wild deer that wander through the yard.“
