We found Cafe Hilltop after talking to two different groups of locals. Both said this was the place for breakfast. I wholeheartedly agree. I ordered "The Mound" and it was great! As a bonus we got to sample homemade jams & jellys. I ended up buying 4 different jellies if that gives you any indication of how good they are. Two thumbs way up.
Jamie is a wonderful waitress, very friendly and personable. The food is really good. Cookies and jams are homemade by the owner. I brought one of each. Jamie perked up my weekend even with me having to deal with a bad situation at the motel. I came back the next morning.

The food was pretty good nothing to complain about at all. As for the atmosphere it's your old home town backwoods southern feel for sure; in my mind it's awesome. Service was by far superb. Get samples of their jams to try (highly suggest the pumpkin) on your toast yummy. Everyone was so nice and talkative. Thank you for a great experience.
