I occasionally drive through this little town of Montello and I've always noticed this little soup place and wanted to stop. Unfortunately it was never at lunchtime. Well, today I finally made it! I love soup and this place doesn't disappoint. Today they had 5 to choose from. Soup comes in three sizes, cup, bowl and lg bowl (which Hass to be a pale because the bowl is huge!) I decided on a salad and it was really great, they have a water dispenser and clean glasses, it is very appreciated, of course I will return, the cook and the waitress were very friendly.

I come from a Polish Italian background and I always had great food and soups in my house growing up. This little gem in Montello, The Oyster Cracker,e has everything that brings me back to the wonderful food that I grew up with. The best soups, rich and hearty, with minimal salt added.
