“I occasionally drive through this little town of Montello and I've always noticed this little soup place and wanted to stop. Unfortunately it was never at lunchtime. Well, today I finally made it! I love soup and this place doesn't disappoint. Today they had 5 to choose from. Soup comes in three sizes, cup, bowl and lg bowl (which Hass to be a pale because the bowl is huge!) I got the regular "bowl" and it was huge, definitely a meal in itself. You can also order soup in a bread bowl. As I looked around the room at other people's meals, I found myself wishing I lived near here so I could be a regular! The salads are gigantic, so are the subs. I was really impressed with today's special, it was chicken Alfredo in a bread bowl. Looked spectacular... might have to find my way back to try that one. As for me, I ordered a bowl of cheeseburger soup and a Reuben. Couldn't finish it all. They have a table with a bunch of different flavors of oyster crackers. Help yourself dispensers, all included with your soup. I'm sure if you're a local you know about this place. But if you're driving through or here vacationing, you need to give this down-home soup and sandwich business a try. People who work there are really friendly, and I was impressed that all three of them made it to my table during my meal to ask me how things were going. They all seemed really appreciative for everybody's business. Occasionally drive through this little town of Montello“
“The service was great. They were personable and fun. We were seated and offered drinks very quickly. The menu had several great options but we all chose the fish fry. It was fantastic. Good portions, great sides and the batter was perfect. I look forward to our next visit.“

“If you are passing by or a local stop in. We have recently discovered this place (after many recommendations) The quintessential Wisconsin road-side bar. The waitress (damn I can’t remember her name) is so friendly. The food is great, the best pizza around. Had a prime rib Saturday, it was perfect to my specifications. The feel is def north woods. Very homey and comfortable. We went there 3! times in 10 days. Have yet to sit at the bar but will soon. 5 ⭐️“
“Went here for breakfast the other weekend, was not disappointed. Had my favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Bacon was perfectly cooked and I should have ordered bigger than the small biscuits and gravy. Will eat there again. Fairly new to the town and slowly trying nearby “
“As we pulled up, I have to admit that I thought, "geez, this place looks janky.". It's kinda wedged into a strip mall from yesteryear. The interior is full of knick knacks on top of bric-a-brack. BUT... the food is pretty awesome. We had chili, which was meaty and studded with beans. We also had the fish fry, which came with perfectly fried fish, creamy coleslaw, baked beans and the best damn potato pancakes we've had. Service was pleasant and efficient. We are definitely glad we didn't let our first impression steer us away.“
“This is your average Resort bar and kitchen. The have a salad bar to go with your meal, it's nice salad bar, but the clam chowder tasted like it was watered down. No flavor.Fish and chicken plate is the best value.Good fish and chicken, will have that again.Drinks are a good value and worth the price.Service, our guy tried to be a good server but was swapped with people. We gave him a nice tip he's friendly, courteous and works very hard.Try this place out. I don't think you'll be disappointedKid-friendliness: Games for kids to playParking: Driveway is gravel so wheelchair will need helpWheelchair accessibility: On ground floor - yes wheelchair accessible“
“Would highly recommend this place! We had the gyro ($15) which was VERY good, the meat was stacked on you cold barely pick it up! We also tried the calzone ($11) which was based on one of the pizzas, was the perfect ratio of ingredients for the most part! Slightly heavy on the sauce but very delicious.“
“Group of 6- They were very busy but Jeff was absolutely upfront, honest & fun!!! I tried to help him out, the burgers were great and the homemade fries were delicious!!! This was our first time there but I guarantee it won’t be the last!!!“
