“Phills Bar is a great small town bar where I am pretty sure everyone knows each other. I am sure it's a stop for out-of-town folks to stop in for one and done, however, their food was really great. Higher quality and cooking than most small bars. Don't let the atmosphere throw you. Enjoy a great burger or their shrimp special and a nice cold one.”

“Yum! Yum! Yum! We went there after dropping off our daughter at camp. It's just a small, Backwoods bar and grill, very down-home, small-town feel. It's a really great little place. We had the fish fry and the combination appetizer. So good! They were short staffed, but still had yummy food, got our orders right, knew what drinks we had, very impressive! The fried fish came out piping hot! Fish cools down really fast, so as a Mom, I'm usually eating lukewarm or cold fish. This was super hot and super good! The appetizer was amazing too! Definitely want to go back again!”

“We went to the Chetek Cafe with fairly low expectations; we wanted to try something new and somewhat local.Food: I ordered the "gyro" which is by no means a gyro as it's pork. If you're willing to overlook that inaccurate name for the sandwich it is actually legitimately delicious. The meat was well seasoned, tender, and juicy. It was, to quote my husband "a surprisingly high quality of meat." It was also a fairly large size pita sandwich; I had ordered it as a basket and it was served on an actual platter-- huge.Service: Very casual vibes from staff but our waitress was super attentive; very prompt with refills. Everything you could ask for from a small town diner in terms of hospitality.Atmosphere: The building is getting on in age and the booths are small. Some seats at the counter are ripped and the color scheme of the interior is very mid 90s roadside diner, complete with taxidermied fowl in the window. If that's your thing, you're gonna love it. If you wanted more formal dining, you may feel put off.Overall the food was well above average. Go out of your way to visit this place it's a nice value for the amount of food you receive”

“Went there with a friend that I had met at work. I live nearby but had never traveled in that area. Upon arriving the few customers that were there were all friendly as they said hello and welcomed us in. The person attending the business( sorry not good with names) was if I am correct the owner's mother. She attended to us what I really liked the most was she kept checking on us to make sure we were ok as we sat at the furthest end of the bar. Food is great and priced right as are the beverages. One thing I do remember is the owner name is Noel because that is my name?Parking: Parking is right behind the establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: There aren't any stairs if you go in the back door.”
