“Nice restaurant near Lake Pepin. Limited menu and Twin City prices. Food was good but was not high end, which I expect when paying $30-40 for an entrée. Butternut squash soup was bland and I don't generally use a lot of salt, but definitely lacking here. Curry was decent, but repeated on me all night. A few string beans accompanied the curry, they were undercooked. Didnt try dessert, already spent a small fortune and can't afford these prices. Cozy atmosphere, although a bit cramped space wise. Service was pleasant.“

“We were delighted to finally have the chance to visit the newest restaurant in Lake City -- "The Copper Mug" (formerly The Rail House).Delicious fish dinner on Friday evening and a big hunk of chocolate cake to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We choose the deep-fried fish ... moist on the inside & crispy on the outside. Choice of baked or french fried potatoes plus a serving of very delicious cole slaw on the side.We started with drinks from the bar--great beer & wine choices, & they offer special mixed drinks, too: "The Sweet Heart Mule" (tasted like sweet tarts!).Our server was outstanding...attentive without hovering, quick to bring extra tartar sauce when needed and to fetch the cake when we were done with our entree. The owner also stops by each table to make sure everyone's meal is satisfactory. The establishment has a really nice cozy but hip vibe, and feels like a special dinner-out with the upbeat decor. Easy in & out for hubby in his wheelchair, too (tho' a bit of a tight squeeze near the bar, but patrons were kind about that, too).Prices were competitive and easily made us feel like we got our money's-worth, too!Another fine Lake City establishment we'll be visiting more often, looking forward to their lunch menu.We also love her other location near the marina "Heidi's HuggaMug" for breakfast or lunch.Wheelchair accessibility: Spots right by the front door & helpful hostess holding the door!“

“The alley needs some updating, but it was a good experience. The pizza and cheese curds were really good. The pop had a strange flavor. Not sure if the fountain machine was old or just bad tap water. It was really busy from 5 until 6, then it was nearly empty.“

“If you love homemade pie this place is worth the trip, most definitely. It was about two hours roundtrip for me, but it's a cute place and the food is also really good. But the pie. You need to order ahead if you want an entire pie or a specific pie, but you can get slices and they have "pie cookies." If you love pie crust, you gotta get a pie cookie. This is probably the only place I'd actually pay for an entire pie and be happy. Actually homemade and so delicious.“

“The restaurant was great. Service was asking great. If you are a fan of Grumpy Old Men and are in the area, I would take the trip. Now the down side which is no fault of the restaurant or town. The actual bar used as Slippery’s tavern in the movie was in St. Paul MN and there was also a stand in town used for Wabasha as well. So unfortunately you don’t really get to see land marks from the movie. However it it a very nice town to check out for a quick stop over.“

“Food hasn't disappointed the last two times we've been through. Got the salmon last time and the street corn burger this time. Both were really good. Their bloody Mary's are really good too. Plenty of seating, pulltabs, merch, and a few smaller arcade games, so it's got a little entertainment. Didn't go into the bowling alley, but it's surprisingly not loud for being right in the next room.“
