“We have driven by so many times and decided to stop this morning! It was so good, may be the best breakfast I’ve ever had. My husband got #5 and I got #4. I don’t like anyone’s French toast and rarely order it because I’m always disappointed. It was FANTASTIC! Everything was absolutely delicious and we will absolutely be back! Not only was the food amazing, but Sam took great care of us and her service was top notch!! ♥️♥️♥️”

“I randomly found Lola’s lunchbox through an internet search when I was working in Phillips for the day. What an amazing find! The Thai chicken tacos were life changing!! When the owners heard my story about finding them, they brought a free pack of amazing Oreo puff corn (heaven in a bag) with my order. I’ll definitely be looking for excuses to make the trip up north to get some more tacos!!! Thanks for making my day with a delicious lunch!!”

“Great northern atmosphere and awesome owners. We stayed at the cabins with some friends for a snowmobile trip and cabins were very clean, owners were outstanding and very welcoming! Would definitely be back!”

“I spent so many wonderful hours in Fusak's tavern while living in the Phillips area. Florence would make coffee and pull out some of her wonderful bakery and we would chat away!! We loved the Smear games every week during the winter and seeing the neighbors there. Grandpa Ed and I would stop every time we went to town to shop. The hunting season at Fusak's Tavern was so much fun....so many fond memories. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. It is great to view Florence in them .....she was the hub and we all love her.”

“This is another restaurant in Phillips that is right on Hwy 13. Their prices are very reasonable. They have a local dollar bill custom if you want to participate. The food was good. A little slow when I was there, but the staff were friendly.”

“We enjoyed experiencing the tavern and seeing Fred Smith’s photos and articles. It has a neat story and different artistic displays that explain Fred Smith as an artist and music lover. He often played his fiddle and mandolin while jingling sleigh bells that were tied to his knees.Look above the bar to see his watercolor portrait that has hung watching over the tavern for decades.We recommend stopping in, having a Fred Smith Lager, and checking the place out. And, if you’re looking for somewhere unique to stay, the upstairs has been renovated into an Airbnb. Guests can stay and also rent the Rock Garden Tavern for an event.”
