“Was disappointed that I couldn't get a fish fry at a different venue so decided to go here and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. It happened to be karaoke night so my daughter wasn't thrilled, but we enjoyed the food and service was of the charts! “I don't drink alcohol But have no fear they served me ginger beer while I enjoyed the atmosphere. The bar sets in the back alley way a few blocks from the police station in whats called one of the schetchest neighborhoods in the beautiful city of Wausau they say I say not at all.Vegetarian options: Bloody Mary i think made with tomato juice is all I can tell yous“
“The food and service here are both good. The waitress was attentive and food tastes wonderfully homemade but be aware of their policies for credit card fees and charging for every refill on soda. I wish places would tell you that before they serve you. We could’ve been ok with one soda, and saved $2.50 plus extra money in a credit card fee! We are far less likely to make this part of our regular restaurant rotation now.“

“I traveled from Oklahoma for the weekend and i had two experiences with this restaurant. First was a DoorDash. I ordered a pizza and it was excellent. The second experience was at the restaurant. I ordered a patty melt and tots. The patty melt was excellent as well. Both experiences were great and the food was definitely delicious! If I’m ever back up in this area, I WILL come back to The Bar. Great job guys!“

“My husband and I were there last night. Our server was more than polite!!! She was awesome. However, some of our food was good like the wings and the french fries.but the salad tasted off, so I elected not to eat it. My mashed potatoes were crusty on the bottom and my steak was horrible. It was like chewing shoe leather and was grissly. Our server gave us a little discount, which I appreciated. We normally don't get to go there because we live 3 hours away. But, we were in town and couldn't wait to go there.“
“First time trying this place. I loved it! It was busy, but we didn't have to wait too long. We came at prime dinner time. Got the 2 piece deep fried haddock with 1/2 and 1/2, and it was awesome. The 2 pieces were huge, the slaw was good, the French fries were delicious, and I enjoyed the potato salad. Our service from Tyler was good.“
