“Do you want to have the best cinnamon rolls of your life? If you do, then stopping here is a must! We stopped in on a cold Wisconsin winter morning, and the hot coffee (I had a latte and my son the hot chocolate) hit the spot just right. The service is amazing and extremely friendly. They want to make sure you have the absolute best experience possible. If you're in Shullsburg, you have to stop at Second Chance!”
“Stopped for dinner tonight. Maddie was our waitress and she was great. Very friendly and attentive. We ordered burgers which were done to perfection. Very delicious. We’ll be back.”
“Subway in Shullsburg is a very busy place but they take your order and get you out quickly! There were three people working at making sandwiches when I stopped. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I ordered a sausage pizza and it was done in no time. Four people ahead of me but still very quick service!! Good job and pizza was very good!! AND THEY HAVE RASPBERRY ICED TEA!! My favorite!!”
“I had never tried this place until last weekend and boy, was I missing out! The Friday night cod n shrimp was awesome! I've also been told the boneless wings, chips and pizza are outside! I'll have to go back someday soon and check it out!P.S. The beer is the perfect temperature!”
“The burgers were very good . The crinkle cut fries are perfectly cooked . This place is not just bar food . They present a salad bar that was fresh . Macaroni salad was good . Pattymelt was very good . Everything is alacart, so it is easy not to waste food . Burgers 1/3 lb about $7 large fry $3 . And it was a large order salad bar with burger was $5 just salad bar was $8 .”
“Great place and great owner and staff highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: There very kid friendly and accommodate! Have smaller kids and portions for kids just ask for it!”
“The food is amazing. And don't even mention the service its the best service i could have in a while. Its a small Bar/ Food/grill and it is amazing. They also are really busy most nights.”
“This is such a cute little coffee shop. The coffee is very good and they have pastries and other things in the cooler. You can sit facing the main street of Darlington.”
“Such a gem of a place. The food was delicious and the service was great. I had a pork chop sandwich and it was good. The sandwich was juicy, tender and not salty. The staff was great.”
“This is the best Chinese takeout I have ever had! I ordered the four seasons. It had perfectly cooked proteins and vegetables mixed in a very delicious sauce. ? My 4 year old loved the ‘chicken on a stick’ kids meal. The chicken was flavorful tender and juicy which made a very easy meal for my kiddo to enjoy.”
“Omg the best little find just across the border! There a this old bar that is actually one of Wisconsin’s oldest bars full of history and amazing bbq! Cold drinks but no hard liquor. This bar is part of the Cheese Head trail for ATV/UTV. When we stopped it was full of motorcycles too. Staff is so friendly and is willing to share their experiences with others.Parking: Sooo many options for any type of vehicles”
“I eat here at least once a week.. the street tacos are the best!! Finally a red "hot" sauce that is actually spicy, and a lime for every tace!! Ironic that one review says "its not authentic" then complains that the waitress doesnt speak Engligh!!! Hahaha sounds pretty authetic to me.”
“Great thin crust pizza! We had the bacon cheeseburger but I wish I would have been more adventurous with the toppings and ordered something with green olives or shrimp. You can get pizza to-go, dine in, or take and bake. We were there on a Sunday evening and it was steady stream of customers.”
“Very loud music. Very loud people. But what do you expect! Place is tiny and packed!!! Awesome crazy huge "long islands" nice bartenders. Rowdy crowd but not haters. Very big outdoor area. Def worth a visit. Middle of nowhere but worth it!”
“Within walking distance of the house and the drinks, food and staff are always great. If you're looking for a great lunch, go on Wednesday's when Ms. Sheila makes roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. It's SO good!”
“Stopped in a week ago, enjoying the day with my two nieces. we had a blast. The distinguished bartender kept us in stiches all afternoon. The regulars treated us like old friends. Returning!Parking: I had a 4 wheel walker and parked in front. Nice ramp to ft. door where the barkeep hurried to get the door for me and the girls.Wheelchair accessibility: nice ramp to tavern!”
“WOW..... best pizza and food in town ? great atmosphere friendly owner, and definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area.Kid-friendliness: Nice place to take the kids they have a picnic area beside the store to hang out and enjoy your food with the family.”
“I love subway and I love their sandwiches, but I do NOT love their employees. There are very few who are nice and listen but the rest of them are disrespectful and rude. The teens who work there should know if they want to get a job at a place of business that they represent that business.”
“What a hidden gem! If your looking for fancy drive on by. If your looking for great food, amazing staff (Nancy was a hoot) and a bit of nostalgia, this is your place. Had a little band and the folks were dancing. Loved everything about the place.”
“This is a cool brewery in a neat little town. I loved the vibe of this place. Such a cool idea. I got a flight of six of their beers. I liked their Marzen (Fall Ride) the best. They also serve free popcorn.”
“Nice place, bar, separate seats for dinner. Rustic setting. Very cute atmosphere. Service was great. Thanks Caitlin!! Prime rib was sooo good, melt in your mouth. Nice portions. It's a great place in the middle of nowhere. Make it a point to go!!”
“We were in there on a busy Saturday afternoon for lunch. The service was perfect. The food was excellent. This is a very smoothly ran franchise. The owner of this franchise should be very proud of the employees they have running the place. In today's day and age where customer service has gone out the window. This place shines!”
“Good food, great service and the one guy went above and beyond when I asked where we could get air put in our tire. He had us pull around back and used his air compressor.”
