About Base Camp Door County

Tucked away from the main drag, Base Camp Door County is an adorable, cozy hidden spot with a quiet, undiscovered feel. The staff is extremely friendly, with good kind service at the counter and everything made with love and delivered with a smile. Excellent offerings include authentic French pastries and quiche straight out of France, a Door County Cherry crumb cake, and a Green & Gold burrito that is so delicious. The drip coffee is very good, and the Cold brew helped power through mini golf with a toddler. The best latte and mocha to date, along with a standard cappuccino/latte, made for a perfect breakfast. A lovely dressed salad sits alongside savory breakfast, and the apricot torte was still warm with a taste of butter. The breakfast sandwich is warm and delicious, and the cruffin is a must-get. Decor includes funky old garage doors and local art for sale. A great spot that checks all the boxes for a simple, chill breakfast.

You've got a gem with Megan working for you! She is so polite, engaging and enthusiastic. I ordered a drip coffee, Door County Cherry crumb cake and a Green & Gold burrito. The burrito is so delicious, I've been looking for a good breakfast burrito up here and I do believe I have found it! I haven't had the crumb cake yet, but it looks amazing and a very decent...read full review
Excellent offerings, lovely people and atmosphere. Great spot! A+.
It’s also somehow still quiet. Feels undiscovered and private.
Their Cold brew helped power me through mini golf with a toddler.
Tucked away from the main drag, the authentic French pastries and quiche are straight out of France. Our food took a little longer and Pierre brought us an extra pastry to share with apologies, not necessary but it was very nice! A lovely dressed salad alongside savory breakfast and a standard cappuccino/latte made for a perfect breakfast! The best breakfast we've had in DC!
